Course Curriculum Overview

We have a two year course with four semester, the curriculum is well managed and fruitful to us. I have a specialization course of finance. We learnt cost accounting, financial management, income tax law, indirect tax laws etc.

Placement Experience

Placement in our college is average. College should focus to get more. They have tie ups with few companies. Job opportunities are much after M.com course. Internship is not provided we have to manage it on our own.

College Events

There are various events which our department heads in our college from time to time. Seminar on service sector, industrial visit to stock exchange, JNANODAYA, MAGU THIRUVATHIRA, workshop on research methodology, motivation classes, Onam, and other festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee for this course is feasible to all students. The tution fee for M.com course is 1800, special fee of 980 and for fresh admission caution deposit of 600 is charged. Fee for hostel is charged extra.

Campus Life

Our college hosts many extra curricular activities for students like Computerssessment,Bridge Programme,NET coaching material, Soft skill training for GD, Interview,.CASP (Community Aided Sponsorship Programme),ASAP, SSP (Scholar Support Programme),We for Women Club,Campus Natural Club, Career Guidence Cell, Fine Arts & Culture Club,Oratory & Quiz Club, NSS , NCC, Literary Club,etc. It's women's college so ratio is their only.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are available in our college. Ours is a women's college so there is one hostel and we have all facilities in it. Infrastructure of that is good, shared rooms, study area, sports facilities, mess services are available.

Alumni/Alumna

There is alumni association in our college. There are events organised by our college like meetups, motivation lectures, guidance on career etc. Seniors of our college is good and help us at various occasions.

Admission

Admission in M.com to me was given on management quota. I applied to this course with my bachelor's degree. After filling online application I was shortlisted according to score in my bachelor's. And was given admission to this course. One must have bachelor's in Commerce to apply for this course.

We have a good faculty in our department. Our faculty are very well educated, all have good background and teaching experience. They are very supportive to us, our faculty help us in guiding for future steps. They guide us to concentrate on education and solve our problems.

HONEST REVIEW ABOUT SCHOOL OF DISTANCE EDUCATION

Course Curriculum Overview:

I take Master of Commerce as my post-graduation subject. we are interested in banking and also the teaching field is so relevant subject and provides so many opportunities. so I prefer only the person who likes these fields to choose mcom others I think a Mba provide more opportunities in this world. I am so sad to choose mcom because I like to work in the management field

Students are eligible to attend the campus placements in their last semester, in my case 4th semester. Job fairs are conducted and we get opportunities. Packages differ based on the companies. Almost 85% of students get placed in various firms.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Duration is of 2 years and the academic Session Starts from July Month Every year. There are 4 Semesters in Which First Semester is easy to pass and the rest is difficult to pass and you will have to study hard. The faculty is Student ratio is 1:40 which is quite good as per my opinion. The teachers are well qualified and have teaching experience of over a decade.

Choices for a better future

I only applied to this college from my Sir's recommendation along with my senior. This college have a good facility to learn, to do lab, & to refer, the library facilities are too good. My life as a josephite

After the 12th i submitted the application online and i put st josephs as my first option and christ college as second. i got ibnto st josephs in the trial allotement itself and straightway joined into the college. Getting admission that too in self financing was not at all a difficulty as i had around 89%. But my friends who scored above 95% faced lot of struggle to get into the merit quota where the fee will be less. there also reservation plays a role. even a student with less than my mark got into merit seat just ecause she was in reservation. The reservation dramas will be there regardless of college. but getting an upperhand for the NRI students throughout the academic year in all ways just because they paid lakhs to join is a worst thing to have. especially the favouritsm of having no parents in town as guardian and having to stay at hostel....Read More
