I had applied to a few engineering colleges during the admission process. My first preference was PCCOE ( Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering ) because of its reputation and placement record. However, due to my marks and rank, I couldn't get admission there. The cutoff for PCCOE was higher than my score, so i had to look at other good options available in my range. I got a confirmed in Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT) through the CET counselling process. I chose this college because it is one of the wall known engineering colleges in the sangli and kolhapur region. It has a good academic environment, decent plscement record and proper infrastructure. Compared to some other college in the same rank range RIT has a better reputation, experienced faculty and a cleaner, more disciplined campus. The admission process is done through the CET Cell counselling ( CAP rounds) conducted by the maharashtra government. Students can take admission based on MHT CET or JEE Main scores. Most students prefer MHT CET for getting admission in this college. First, sudents fill the CAP application form, upload documents and select thier preferred colleges. Then, based on thier rank and cutoff, seats and complete the admission process at college. Overall, the admission process was smooth and transparent and I was able to secure a seat in RIT through the counselling system....Read More

> The other college I applied for was very good in terms of their college life, but the student didn't seem to focus on their career, and were mostly interested in enjoying their college life. > One of the major reasons was the weather and climate of this place, which made it very comfortable to work here. >The college accepts students from the MHCET Exams, JEE and also has an open admission round (management quota). > The cut off for Computer Engineering was 90 percentile in MHCET (open category)....Read More

The other colleges I applied for was th Walchand college of Engineering, sangli , Shri Guru Gobind Singh college of engineering, nanded and DKTE ,ichalkarangi. I got confirmed admission in DKTE through cap round 1. But I choose RIT over DKTE because RIT has better teaching , good faculty and better placements then DKTE and is one of the most reputated college in Maharashtra. While I got rejection from Walchand college of engineering and Shru Guru Gobind Singh college of engineering because the I didn't fulfilled the merit eligibility of these colleges. The whole admission process of my college was through cap round. The eligibility exams accepted for my course are CET, JEE, AIEEE,etc. the most preferred exams by students are CET and JEE. The admission experience was smooth since my admission for RIT was confirmed in Cap round 2 and all I need to get my admission in RIT was just to pay the course fee. The curoffs varies depending on courses you need to apply in these exams....Read More
