Remarks

Our college of engineering and technology is very important to us and we have a good day please see attached for the total subject line and the total cost for a small university by our college fees are not availed for.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course and curriculam is bare minimum. We have 2 exams (both internal) each semester i.e a mid semester exams and an end semester exam. Mid semester contributes 30 per cent of the total semester score while the end semester and practicals contributes t other 70 percent. Failing to pass in half of the total subject will result in the student to reappear the semester.

Placement Experience

For a small university we are doing good interms of placements. Computer science being the branch with the highest placed rate. Everything is good except for the civil engineering branch placement rate.

College Events

We have three maib event and many other small events regarding different regional festival. The three main events are ADDOVEDI ( Technical fest), ATTULYAM ( Cultural fest ) and an annual sports event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is divided into two categories that is for a general student and students belonging to backward social group. For a general student the fee per semester is about 1 lakh rupees. For students of backward social groups the fee per semester is about 40k rupees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed for any scholarship offered by our college but we get scholarship from our state which pays for our college fees. This scholarship scheme is called the umbrella scheme which is a boon for poor students like us.

Campus Life

Admission

Interested candidates have to appear in JEE Mains ( An entrance exam) and then are selected on the basis of their merit score. Candidates have to choose their interested colleges or universities after paasing the JEE mains exams.

Faculty

Very few profeesors and lots of assistant profeesor but most of them are alright. There are insufficient faculty members which results in one faculty member in being incharge of multiple subjects. Also many of the optional courses are not available due to lack of faculty.

NIT Arunchal Pradesh is Amazing!!

Likes

Ours is one of the latest NITs and therefore we have the best of facilities at our campus.
Government is actively involved in making our college better and better and hence we soon will be among top 10 NITs.
Unlimited and fastest of Wi-Fi is provided to the students.

Dislikes

Not many hotels nearby and therefore we have to use bus service to get out of the campus.

Placement Experience:

Lucky that I am doing ECE as companies like Huawei and Samsung are among the companies that hires our branch students. I am not sure about placements and all as how and when they are done is little far from in the year which I am currently studying.

Life at NERIST

Likes

The fist thing would be the location of the campus. It is located in the beautiful state of Arunachal Pradesh. Hence it provides breathtaking views in and around the campus.
The presence of many clubs and societies help in the overall growth of the students .
The faculty in the campus is very helpful and experienced.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college could be further improved to provide better facilities to the students.
The placement scenario in the college is not still upto the mark and can be improved further.
Though the boy and girl ratio is nor that bad but in certain courses the no. Of girl students are very limited.

Placement Experience:

The campus scenario is improving day by day but it is not still upto the mark. Many companies come for hiring but most of which offer only average package of 4LPA which is very less compared to other colleges. Highest package ranges from 8-10 LPA.

SMALL BUT BENEFICIAL

Likes

I have likes about the atmosphere and the place that is between the mountains.
Anti-ragging comittee is very good here. They are very friendly and help the students in every way they can.
The clubs are wonderful. They provide very good mentoring about if you have any interest in others than the studies. The sports club is the excellent to be must say.

Dislikes

However the things I dislike can be that there response regarding hostels are a bit slow but not that slow they work but yah slowly

Placement Experience:

The placement are very good here. I have joined recently so yah I don't know much about the highest and average placement of the institute. The highest percentage among all is from mechanical. The students of mechanical engineering had a higher percentage of jobs as compared to other branches. I will do M.Tech after my B.Tech.

Placement Experience:

For getting placement, We gave to be first eligible without having any backlogs . The companies that use to visit are google, Microsoft, L & T ,and so on. The percentage is 6.5 and above CGPA . My plans is to go for competitive exams.

Life in NERIST

Likes

Teachers are friendly and easily approachable.
I like the campus. The campus is vast and covers an area of 513 acres.
The infrastructure is good. it provide facilities such as gym, hospital, auditorium, play ground etc.

Dislikes

Some class room has become old, dusty and stuffy.
Lack of equipment in laboratories and old machinary equipments

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are lot of curriculum activities such as National Cade Crops( NCC) and National Sevice Scheme (NSS ) NSS helps student to develop their characters and personality which will have positive impact on the community or society. From time to time the NSS officials initiate the cleaness drive program within the campus and they encourage the studens to participate the program. In NERIST there is a major events like SHRISTI and RACAF which is celebrated every year.

Likes

The college was situated in a convenient and vibrant area, offering easy access to essential amenities, transportation, and recreational spots. The scenic surroundings added to the charm and provided a pleasant environment for studying and relaxation
The faculty were highly educated and experienced in their respective fields
Sports were good and cultural events also very exciting and refreshing in nature

Dislikes

I disliked the placement authority here and also there is no internship opportunities are given to students in 3rd year you will have to do it by yourself here
Labs and equipments are also outdated and not very well furnished
Library facilities are available but very poor and also transportation facilities in college is very poor

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is offered to 4th year students only Internship opportunities are also very less Actually as per the record 80 percent of students get placement I will choose mtech after the degree Averagr package is around 10lpa

NERIST details and experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are 3 exams conducted, for first exam eligibility is after 10th and the course will be of 6 years, for 2nd exam the eligibility is after 12th and the duration of the course will be of 4 years, and for the third the eligibility is after doing diploma and duration of the course will be 3 years, the application forms are available in the institute website and it's still accepting responses for some more time period

Remarks:
