    REMARKS

    Chitkara University is a private institution with quality teachers and opportunities for every student who has an aim for a good job after completion of a degree. Of course, its a private institute so it would be unfair to compare with govt backed colleges, but as per my experience the teaching level and exposure is at par with leading private colleges in the country. I personally opted for this college as I wanted to be as close to my hometown, but couldn't get into PEC, Chd. Yet after spending 2 years of my life in this college, I have realized that student can achieve, gain exposure, be in the top brass if he has the zest to prove himself and needs to achieve something worthy than a degree. I can assure you, there is no ragging ( realized on my first day of college), clean campuses, hostels are in a good condition too. There would be ample time to pursue your ambitions, time to evaluate, find what you are truly made for if one makes time for it.

    I am currently in the second year, but as I am in contact with my seniors, they really are satisfied with training for campus placements. Verbal and nonverbal training. Personality development is given special focus. During the placements and I have seen, that both core and noncore companies come for recruitment. Again, that's on the student if he cracks the interview. We have a special building and faculty for startups and we are highly encouraged to start our own startup if we have an idea. Chitkara fully supports the student if the idea is feasible. As successful startups can and will enhance the image of the college, especially a private college

    CAMPUS LIFE

    Campus life is too good at Chitkara. As I am from the Solan campus, the surroundings are peaceful, picturesque views. I am having many friends who study at the Rajpura campus and they are all praises for the maintenance and beautification of the campus. Libraries are fully equipped with the latest journals, scientific papers, and books from various authors on every subject a student needs for his/her studies. There are noncore and fictional books too, which are fun to read during long weekends. Classrooms are all smart with projectors, mics, and whiteboards, and benches are arranged in such a way that even the student on the back, could view the board without any problem.

    COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

    Honestly, the teachers are kind of mixed bag, of highly educated professors who have industrial and professional experience in their respective fields and basic textbook crammers. Though, again I emphasize, that its totally on the student, what he chooses of the teacher. Either, he could go with the flow or takes extra efforts to reach out to the more experienced teacher, if he feels so. Believe me, it's very easy to approach to the requisite teacher at Chitkara if you have desire or doubts. Teachers are open to criticism, free to approach, and are a well of knowledge. They will go out of their field, if needed and clear up your doubts.

Placement -

The placements begin in 4th year and companies start visiting the campus form the month of July. It has centralised placement and students have to visit Just Noida to appear for exams. The highest package was approx 15 lacs and the average package is around 3.5 lacs for mass recruiters.

JUIT Experience.

Placement -

The college has excellent placements, the tech giants like Amazon, Zscalar, Hashedin, Google, etc visit the college for campus placements. The good thing is that almost everyone got placed till the end of the 4th year. But the worst part is the placement policy that once you are placed irrespective of your package(it may be high as 27 LPA or low as 3LPA) you won't be permitted to sit further for the placements. Apart from this policy, campus placements are good.

Placement -

No placement is done at our time, but there is an extra class for gate examination (teacher from different universities for giving coaching) free of cost no extra charge for extra classes, this helps students to crack gate examination.

Students sit for placements after 7th sem. Highest package for mechanical is 35lpa in marine company. All the IT company as capgemini accenture octum samsumg vists here. Manufacturing companies as TaTa maruti also visits Almost everyone gets placed at nit so almost 100%. After the degree on can go for govt exam prep or higher studies.

Remarks -

College is more like of a school then of college. Somethings are good. But many things are bad like management, dress code, fines, chancellor's whole day lecture and his self praise talks etc. Fees is really expensive.
