ITS A GOOD UNIVERSITY AND A GOOD COLLEGE
REMARKS
The college authorities are highly strict and orthodox. Not at all flexible. This needs to change.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
The fee structure is really very feasiable. Boys fee is 9000 with hostel per sem. Girls fee is 5000 with hostel per sem. Also if you get the college through Icar examination in any other state than yours then you will get a fellowship of amount 18000per sem. But also you will have to maintain an gpa of 7 or above.
PLACEMENT WING
The placements for ug are not so good but for msc and other courses are decent. I am still in the second year so I don't know much about it
ADMISSION
I prepared for ICAR All India exam. I got a decent rank. Then I had the online counciling in two rounds. I opted for this college in round one. You can upgrade your preference in round two if you want to. I basically got to know about this course through my coaching.
HOSTEL FACILITIES
Girls are exempted from hostel fee. Boys have to to pay an extra amount of 4000 which is included in the fee structure.the hostel room are okay. Not in very bad condition. Also there is sharing for rooms that is 2 girls per room in girls hostel and 3 boys per room in boys hostel. But this data can vary too.
ALUMNI
Alumnis are generally from.the same state. And the senior students helps you with notes and other information.
FACULTY
The faculty is really intellectual and acknowledged. They will support you and will help you to groom yourself. But some of the professors prefer their indigenous language which becomes a drawback for the students from other states. It acts as a turnoff.
CAMPUS LIFE
Campus life is okay as the campus is really beautiful. There is a diversity of students as 85% students are from the same state and 15% are from other states. But again there are some restrictions which are meant for your own good. There is a time limit to return to hostel for girls and the authorities are strict and orthodox. Also there are some students which are highly backward but some are pretty advance too.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
You will get to know about the basic aspects of agriculture in the initial years. There is an industrial phase in the last year(4th year). It will expose you to the industrial section like seed and fertilizer companies. There is also a trip in the 4th year to explore the other institutions related to the stream.
COLLEGE EVENTS
Talking about the events, this college is a little bit orthodox as there is nothing much to do. There are some cultural events and annual activities. But except that there is nothing much to explore. And also these events get monotonus after some time.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
No I didn't opt for any education loan as the fee is pretty feasible. But you can have a semester fellowship worth rs 18000 if you maintain a gpa of 7 or above given that you have opted your college in other state as of yours and through icar all india exam
