My college experience

In this university, there is such a nice discipline, nice infrastructure and have a good quality of teaching. In this university, you can take direct admission without any entrance without any merit. Previous year classes started on 23rd July. I prefer this college because of many reasons like discipline, test schedule, free UPSC and CSIR net training, strictness and the main reason I wanna do Hons. I want to do a Hons in Mathematics so I choose this course. University has such a nice faculty and a very supportive or helping faculty. The minimum criteria to join as a professor in our university is MSC passed with CSIR net which is the most interesting thing these criteria give the option to that teachers only which have talent with the teaching style. In our university one teacher is on 20 students means the faculty-student ratio is 1:20 this ratio is not best but good. University has a semester system so the exams held after 6 months in every semester so the total semesters are six. And have a good level of exams which is comparable to Punjab University Chandigarh consist of subjective questions as well as 20 multiple choice questions for the preparation of other competition entrance exams. So you have to work hard to achieve a good percentage in these exams.

There is no campus placement. After getting the degree you have to place you by your own hands not provided by the University and the plans are after getting the degree do MSc from a reputed university or give some competitive exams.

The fee structure is so good and also affordable to a lower-middle-class family. You have to pay 18,150 Rs per semester as tuition fees with 3200 Rs per semester as an examination fee and there are no other hidden charges which are the very satisfying quality of the university. Also, you have provided a scholarship by the university which is based on your percentage of last year like if you have percentage in 12th is 75-80% then university provide you 10% in tuition fee 80-90% then university provide you 20% in tuition fee. 90-95% then university provide you 50% in tuition fee And after 95% you will study free at university. And the same criteria Is applied for Bsc first, second and final year. The more percentage you got the more scholarship you got. There is only one job placement in university and that is after MSC you can apply for an interview for an assistant professor at the university.

There is no annual fest no tech fest no extracurricular activities no amenities is organized in university. There is only two or three science exhibitions organized in the University campus or some quizzes some poster competition or speech competition. There is no name of sports only once a year they organized a sports meet. We have also a club name is matrix club which is run by students club members have different duties to manage the discipline or notice board or many other things in the department. University has such a huge library with thousands of books and with such a quite relaxable sitting area where we can read books. There are so many books of a huge variety. Personally I like the most in university is our library.

Our hostel is not better as compared to other universities in the hostel. There are very fewer facilities which are provided to us. Every room is for only 2 boys which consist of two single beds, two wooden Almiras, one table, two chairs and a fan with one light. If you want cooler in summer then you have to bring the cooler by your money not provided by the University there is no electricity bill charged for your equipment. There is no market near the hostel you have to walk for a minimum of 1 km to take your needs from the market. The meal is only time pass menu is fixed but the quality of the meal is not as good as other university hostels. So I think opting a pg or room then university hostel is a better option. The hostel is affordable and the university has some paperwork for registration for a hostel.
