Remarks

They need to keep an on marketing standards, come out of family business. Run it as a professional institute. Chairman who was murdered was good, another mam who later moved to SV group was good. Rarely CEO in college. Mr Shah as princi/Dean was also good.

Entrance Preview

I chose Punjab CET and secured approx 2000 rank. IET Bhaddal was one of the best colleges at that time and was expected to become a deemed University soon.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

First year across all trades, we learnt basics of all subjects.Next 3 semesters were Trade specific subject on Electronics, Communication, Satellites, TV, Networking etc. Followed by Industrial Internship for 1 one month. again one semester on similar subjects followed by six months intership in industry. and final semester in college on easy subjects and job hunt for many who had not already got job.

Internships Opportunities

No stipend offered by it was real good learning at one of the major telecom operators while learning the RF infra at their field work. Employees treated us well to learn at the job.

Placement Experience

3

Awesome. I got an offer during 6th semester, 7th semester was industrial internship which helped me boost my confidence and hence enhancing my learning at internship.

College Events

3.5

This is tough question as I don't remember the names of events. But the focus was on culture, arts, technology. Other colleges also used to participate. Annual event used to host fashion show and all. lots of dance, robots,, guitarists and all.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Standard across most of the PTU colleges. about 45K per semester. About 2K per month hostel fee and food. There was big fleet of college owned buses for daily travelers from many parts of Punjab.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. Not many options I could explore. I am not even aware if any scholarships are available these days in IET Bhaddal. But certainly they had student exchange program tie-up with many abroad Universities.

Campus Life

5

One must experience campus life. One life one campus, many opprtunities. Almost 25% of the engineers were females. after college internet hours were later turned into hostel room wifi hours.religion, race etc are NOT factors to differentiate between people at IET Bhaddal.

Hostel Facilities

4

I still remember the Wednesday Breakfast, awesome paranthas with egg Bhurji and paneer bhurji. If got chance I would love to spend few days in hostel as alumni , would be better if it is on a Friday or Wednesday.

Exam Structure

Standard PTU structure. Exam Internal + External marks 40-60 ratio. The better you do internally the better you use to perform in external exams. Main point is it used to help you with you practical exams.

Faculty

4

Awesome. Polite, easy-going, friendly, share knowledge don't only teach. Practicals were their prime focus, Computer languages, Micro processors, practicals, MATLAB, Physics, Engineering Drawing, all were awesome ,real life exposure in college.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
