College facilities

Their could be a lot of improvement as compared to colleges in other countries but please make the course more practical and industry driven as that is required in the real world.

Total course time is 10 semesters binging to 5 years. Course Structure include 8 semester inhouse with various subjects like design, interior, structural design, history of architecture and landscape. The other 2 semester are training period outside the college that you need to choose college will only provide list of architecture office but other things you have to manage by youself. There is less of practical approach but could be better although teaching staff is quite qualified.

Internship has to be by your own approach college help is limited as they will provide only list of working firms around the nation. In architecture field the companies are quite limited and their are small mid and big size firms only. So as per your choice make ur own portfolio check out the website of the firm and apply that is the only way. Their are many courses in Amity University for which they provide placement but not in Architecture.

Every year their are 2 major events in the college one is sports day and other one is cultural event were all the college participate with their own team in several competitions. Along with this their are several small events like conference and lecture by many big architects many time in the year.

Amity is quite expensive and above then average although the fee structure is already published on the website. It will cost you around Rs 200000 a year including hostel mess and other expenses. Architecture is an expensive course and a lot to be spent on stationary items throughout the course.

I was a scholar and had applied for merit cum means scholarship program running by the university. I availed the scholarship for 2 years so u need to work hard to get the scholarship as their is lot of competition. For government based scholarship the approch will be online and prosess is mentioned their and for internal university scholarship thier are several programs under which u can get the scholarship. The application for internal is through your HOD of the department following an interview by the reviewing committee.

Environment of the the college is quite good it will groom u in all aspects including an extra language improvisation in communication skills and building your overall personality. Labs and practical approach had a big room of improvement but other activities are good. Their are dedicated fields for many sports with lot of competitions all through the year.

Yes for two consecutive years. The hostel is quite decent you can choose Ac or Non Ac option as per the campus. Although I stayed in the PG also it was quite approachable and thier are lot of properties around the college to get a decent space. I would suggest to take hostel for first year atleast then u can opt for PG.

Although I am from the second batch of the college but my seniors were quite helpful in terms of supporting in studies or other activities.

I opted this in 2009. The criteria is through NATA score, English language exam and interview. Need filll up the form online and apply for the course u like to, they will provide the date of interview and just walk in the college. The interview is technical and exam is quite basic. It is better to focus on the NATA exam and score better.

You can see the list of faculty on the website of the university. Faculty is qualified with PHD and masters in several subject according to the interest. The teachers are quite friendly and approachable they help you even after college but could be better anyday as compared to others it is 3/5. Their should be practical labs and students should have a practical approach towards the subject. The university provide limited funds for various activities but still supporting to the students.
