Remarks

The Govt College is an academic oriented Institute that would give you enough benefits in the acadmic field. The ECA activities need attention but, I think the college is working on those issues seriously.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I had taken up Economics, History, Psychology as my core subjects. One of the key points of the college was that I managed to have a commerce subject despite choosing himanities subjects majorly. The syllabus for each of the subject was planned and taught by the professors.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement and internship possibility is a concern in the college. Although, they have formed a comittee but, the work is still very slow and ineffective. I was hoping for some work opportunity from them but, the seniors told me the reality of the placement cell.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. It is difficult to find any institution that could charge such a lower amount in the name of fees and still give such good quality education. I would personally tell students not to worry about the financial composition.

Campus Life

3.5

I did not find any extra curricular activities for myself. The college did have sports and annual days when students could volunteer but, I was solely concentrating on working on my academics. The little I did was to attend the guest seminars.

Admission

If the documents are in place and your percentage in 10+2 is around 70 - 90% then, you admission is nearly sorted. Although you must know the language, Punjabi as it is the medium of instruction in the college.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college would not disappoint you. My professors would clear my doubts without any irritation or hesitation and would teach the difficult concepts with ease and clarity. Therefore, I would make sure not to miss my lectures as much as possible.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
