This college offers many undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate degree with specialization in different brancehs. The courses one can opt for are: B.A, B.Sc, BCA, BBA, B.Com, M.Sc, M.Com, MSW, MA, MLIS and MCA.

Placement Experience

One of the best things about this college is the placement cell. Companies like Tata Consulting Services (TCS), Wipro, LARSEN & TOUBRO LIMITED, CROMPTON GREAVES LTD. and many other top leading companies with an average package of 4 lakhs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is quite affordable here. You can still compare the education provided here to those in other colleges offering the same course and realize this college is very good than others. Around ? 3,115 is the fee for one year of B.Sc. here.

Campus Life

We have many student parties for the well being and stress free life of the students. These parties organize many workshops relating to the course as well as non-academics courses. High participation is observed in these courses.

Alumni/Alumna

Connecting to the seniors is the most important part of your college lie. We have very good and supportive seniors. Also our Alumni are well connected to us and we usually arrange few video call per year for inmates to ask their doubts relating to the academics.

Admission

For admission into this branch, you must have passed your 10+2 (or equivalent) from science stream with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. You will be judged on your merit as well as the entrance test conducted by the college

Faculty

Best part of the faculties is they will never refuse to help even the lowest performer of the batch. They provide constant support for the student. Infact they have made it possible to mail them our doubts and they will respond to our doubts over emails also.

Average college with no placements and exposure

Likes

I like infrastructure of the campus... infrastructure are very beautiful.
Library. I like library facilities college provide and we can take book from there.
Canteen not..much but I likes this average

Dislikes

Placement their is no placement or limit placement only 2-3LPA
Bus Facility their Very poor bus facilities
Labs their labs computer are not working properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.

My life in Oriental university

Likes

I liked the overall campus environment of the university . The campus is quite large ,clean and has good infrastructure.
The labs in college in are well equipped especially for computer science student . some system have configuration like 16 gb ram .
the faculty member are supportive and helpful. teachers are always ready to guide student , clear doubts and personal situation whenever needed

Dislikes

the quality of mess food is average and sometimes not up to expections. There are limited option and some food combination not liked by students
There are single water cooler in available , which sometimes create problem for both boys and girls.
we are sometimes fined for low attendance ,bunking class or even sitting in the canteen during lecture hours

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is decent but not exceptionsal. it covers the basic and important subject required for the course so you dont get a good theoritical understanding. However some parts of the syllabus feel outdated and fully aligned with current industry requirments. the course had a good mix of course subjects and some practical components on paper which looked promising at the time of admission. The overall structure seemed relevent for building foundational knowledge.
