A student needs to qualify his higher secondary exam with an aggregate of 50%. There is reservation too for different categories, with state candidates filling most of the seats while 15% seats being filled on merit basis by marks secured in entrance examination conducted.

Average 75% placement is done every year. Other students have to seek jobs their own. Initially it was 100% but year by year it is decreasing. 25000 was the highest, 18000 was the lowest salary offered. Cooperative dairies of Gujarat are the top recruiting companies. Dairy Technologist is the top role which is offered. 100 percent students got internship in dairies in Gujarat.

Being a state university, the fee structure is pretty minimal and can be afforded easily by a middle class family as compared to those private colleges that require huge amount of money to provide education.

Whole campus is free Wi-Fi connected. We have RFID system, smart classes, state of art bio informatics computer laboratory. The developed infrastructure is the best but the overall campus is still lacking as our college started few years ago. There is lack of sports ground, hostel, mess building, auditorium, mini dairy plant, etc. But I hope it will be constructed soon.

The alumni network here in this university is very much supportive as their will be regular alumni meet ups and they gain knowledge by their experience after their college as compared to other universities and colleges. Senior students are helpful in many needs by the first year students and their juniors. So this alumni network is very much helpful.

Candidates must have passed graduation in relevant stream from a recognised university for PG course admissions. They should also attend a exam conducted by the college called as GUJCET. Admission to master degree programmes is done on the basis of the Merit list.

The course curriculum is spread across 4 years, where the last year mostly includes experimental and in plant training. There are 8 semesters and exams are held at the end of each semester. The subjects taught are selected by keeping in mind the need of theoretical knowledge required.
