Course Curriculum Overview
The course is 3 years and 6-semester long course. which has a motive to became film making professionals. We have a theory and hands-on practical instruction in film making. The course focus on many topics such as Theory lectures, Practical classes, Interaction with professionals Film viewing and script-analyses and Projects. Also, many filmmakers are introduced to us through screenings and analyses.
Placement Experience
The job placement is excellent as the students get the opportunity to attend or become an assistant director or directors of the movies. The students get placement in many famous direction firms such as colours Infinity, Foodlink, Line Producer, Every media, The Indian Express, Turner international, People Can Fly Studio, Top Angle Productions, The Ink Mines Studios, Prana Studios, Digitales Studio, Maya Digital Studios, Motion makers and many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure of my course are INR 5,00,000 for Infra Cost, Equipment & Material is INR 6,00,000, Project Cost is INR 6,00,000, Tuition Fees is INR 9,00,000 and Security Deposit-1,00,000. The course is expensive though it is a good course and the value of the certificate is more than fees.
Campus Life
My college has all the facility such as air-conditioned classrooms, Wifi facility, Hostel facility, Medical facility, Modern Equipment for the Direction work. The college celebrates events like Guest Lecture, Exhibitions, creative & performing art shows, Fire shows by students, Theatre weeks, MANTHAN, INternational Podcast day. The college also organises workshops like Music, screenwriting, Studio Lighting, Stop Motion workshops, costume design session, Lighting workshop, cinematography, Digital Storytelling and many more.
Admission
I got admission by applying online and paying an amount of INR 3000, which was my entrance exam fees of CAT. Also, a candidate needs to pass 10+2 from a government recognized board. The candidate has to go under through Creative Aptitude Test, Statement of Purpose, General Aptitude Test and Personal Interview. I got qualified and then produced my certificates and mark sheets at the time of admission.
Faculty
The faculty of my colleagues are from a professional background and from renowned global film schools. Mr Subhash Ghai is the chief mentor of my course. who is very good at Direction. The way they explain to us and help us in the work of direct is very nice. Most of the faculty are very educated and they focus on the project and explaining to us how to move forward in film making.
