Remarks

According to Education World, it is ranked third best private university. I knew about this college because I have heard that the BBA department is actually good when I was applying. The Admission process starts from May or mid of May till June, it is basically the written test and personal interview rounds. One of the good things about my department is the faculty, around 90% of the faculty is very skilled and experienced they teach very well. Apart from that some faculty also advises about what should you do next and basically building your career and all. Also, the student committee of my department is very active, they do loads of events on their own. One of the things that I miss is the sports section. There is indeed a sports department but it is very inactive and there are very few students who participate and also the college doesn't support them to go for championships. Also, the attendance policy is very strict about 80%.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

BBA is an open course I believe because there are subjects of commerce, arts and science too, therefore, I took it. Talking about the faculty, they are really great. Around 90% of my faculty teaches very well and all of them provide materials too. When I was in the first year, the student-faculty ratio was 50:1 but now when I'm in the second year the ratio has increased to 75:1 as they made two classes now which was 3 in the first year. They teach us mainly through presentations. The exams are conducted on a timely basis, End semester exams are compulsory obviously but mid-semesters are not compulsory. The internals consists of 60 marks and Externals are of 40 marks. The internals is covered through tests and assignments. Talking about the difficulty level it is mostly easy but could be tough for few subjects like IT and QT. For me it was easy as I took notes in all the classes and didn't studied much before exams as I had my notes.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

In my course, there are two internships which we have to do. First is the social internship at the end of the first year and the second is the corporate internship which is at the end of the second year. Unfortunately, due to COVID -19 I was unable to go for my social internship but before that, the college does provide you with internship organizations where you can apply or you can also find it on your own.

Placement Experience

3

I haven't applied for placements as I am in the second year but my college does provide placements which I can apply in the last year. I don't have much info related to the package but what I have seen is that many decent companies come for placements and if you apply for it then the placement cell does help you a lot.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is Rs 100000 per year which is reasonable as compared to other BBA colleges. Talking about scholarships it is purely based on income level.

Campus Life

3

In my department, the committee organises Eclipse in march which is the BBA department's fest it goes for a week and consists of many business-related competitions and sports tournaments. Apart from that, a talent hunt competition is also held every year mostly in august or September and there is Feb Fest in February. In sports mainly cricket and football are always organised and there is actually the whole university's sports day held in the month of January which consists of track and field events and some indoor games. The University has a cultural club which celebrates various festivals and auspicious events. The college library is also nice, not huge not too small most of the books are available there. In classrooms, we have a projector and computer.

Admission

Written Test and Personal Interview

Interview Experience

3.5

I had written test followed by personal interview. I don't remember the topic but it was related to business and technology and its effects on business. the personal interview was very eccentric to my educational background and they mainly asked me why I chose to do a BBA. They hardly asked me about any theoretical question. I think they don't give academics much importance in the admission because there were some students who joined after one month the classes had begun.

Placement Experience:

After 4th year, students are eligible to sit for placements. Some students also receive a pre-placement offer in the 4th year itself. The students are first prepared for day zero, i.e., placement day, beforehand by conducting a mock interview, which is a voluntary session conducted by the placement committee. CV Vetting workshops are also conducted in the eighth semester because at the end of the 8th semester, the placements are made where tier-1 companies like Khaitan, AZB Partners, CAM, SAM, Trilegal, etc. In-house firms like Adani, ICICI Bank, Tata, and more come for recruiting students. Some students sit for placement; others who want to prepare for government exams like judiciary, UPSC, Public Prosecutor, etc. refrain from sitting in placements.

Admission:

The candidates scoring a minimum of 50% in their +2 exam from any recognized university are applicable for filling the form. The admission is done purely on basis of merit as per the percentage in the 12th exams. I scored 86% and got my name in the top 5 of the merit list.
