The university has been established under Gujarat Private University Act, 2009 and empowered under Section 22 of UGC Act, 1956. CHARUSAT offers more than 64 Programs through 8 different institutes viz., CSPIT, DEPSTAR, CMPICA, RPCP, I2IM, PDPIAS, ARIP and MTIN at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Research and Diploma level.

The University offers B.Tech, B.Pharm, BPT, B.Sc., BCA and BBA programs at the Undergraduate level. The B.Tech program is offered in six specializations, BPT program is offered in five specializations and B.Sc. program is offered in six specializations. The basic criteria to apply for B.Tech, B.Pharm, BPT and B.Sc. is passing10+2 in Science Stream.
The Eligibility Criteria for other Undergraduate programs –
B.Tech – The candidate is required to appear for JEE exam of the current admission year.
B.Pharm/ BPT/ B.Sc. – To apply to these courses a candidate must appear for GUJCET exam of existing admission year.
BCA/ BBA – Candidates applying to BCA course must pass 12th or equivalent with English as the main subject from a recognized board.
CHARUSAT offers M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc., M.Pharm, MBA and MPT programs at the Postgraduate level to the candidates. The M.Tech program is offered to the students in eight specializations, M.Pharm program in five specializations, MPT program in six specializations and M.Sc program in five specializations. The basic criteria to apply is Bachelors with minimum required marks. Admission to MPT program requires the candidate to complete a rotatory internship of six months.
The basic criteria for admission to Postgraduate programs –
M.Tech – The minimum eligibility to apply is Graduation in any relevant Engineering stream with minimum 50% marks. Candidate applying to M.Tech course must hold a valid GATE score. The student will have to appear in the PG Entrance Exam of current year conducted by ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses).
MCA – The candidate applying to this course must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/ Institute. Admission is based on the marks in CMAT exam.
M.Pharm – The minimum eligibility to apply is Graduation (B.Pharm) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks. The applicant must qualify GPAT exam and appear in the CET exam conducted by ACPC.
MBA – Admission to MBA program is based on marks in CMAT exam administered by AICTE, New Delhi. A candidate must pass Bachelors with minimum 50% marks to apply to the MBA program.
CHARUSAT offers Ph.D. programs in Technology and Engineering, Computer Science and Applications, Pharmacy, Management, Applied Sciences, Physiotherapy and Nursing. The minimum eligibility to apply to the Ph.D. program is Masters with at least 55% marks or equivalent. The applicant must have qualified GATE/ CSIR UGC NET/ SLET or equivalent exams of similar level or CHARUSAT Doctoral Entrance Test (CDET).
CHARUSAT Doctoral Entrance Test - CDET is a one-hour examination with multiple choice questions in respective subjects.
The University offers Diploma/ Certificate programs in streams like Pharmacy, Management, Nursing and Paramedical Science. The PGDM program offered by the University requires the candidate to pass Graduation and CMAT exam. Whereas, for admission to GNM program a candidate must pass 12th in science stream and GUJCET Exam. For Postgraduate Diploma in Paramedical Science, a candidate must be a Graduate.

The motive of the University is to help society with profit making. The university believes in providing value-based education to the students so that they can be better employable candidates and more importantly an individual contributing to the organization and society as a whole. The Placement Cell organizes all the Training and Placement activities of different institutes of the University and enhances Industry Institute Interaction.
CHARUSAT has initiated a Merit Scholarship Scheme to encourage brilliant students to pursue the education at CHARUSAT. The University offers Scholarship to students who have satisfied stipulated merit criteria. As per the scheme, the decided amount of the scholarship will be given away to the students who have secured specific minimum grades/marks/percentile in Board exams and who fall into the specified range of ACPC Merit Rank.
