Remarks

My overall experience in IIT has been great. It is considered to be the best institute for engineering and once you get a seat in it your career will certainly improve. Besides it, the facilities and faculty of the college are also great which helps us in our studies.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum for the IIT is considered to be best for engineering all over the nation as it provides students with advanced knowledge of machines, tools, and computer science. Students learn a lot from it alongside projects and viva conducted regularly by the college.

Placement Experience

IIT is a highly reputed engineering college and every year various companies bit the campus and provide jobs to the students through which they can start their career. The main companies are Google, Infosys, Wipro, etc which recruit students and provide them with good packages.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the B.TECH (CS) costs around Rs 9 lakhs for the whole 4-year course. This amount is average compared to the other engineering college and with facilities and academics provide this amount is justified.

Campus Life

In terms of extracurricular activities, IIT provides students with various amenities and facilities which help students their projects, and college life. Besides, campus consists of the hostel, good medical facilities, library, sports complex, etc which students can avail.

Admission

I got my admission in IIT through my rank in the JEE Advance examination held every year. After that, I applied to the college through the official website and got inducted in the merit list provided by the university. After that, I visited the campus to sign up formalities and book my seat.

I admire the faculty of my college as they are highly educated and very humble towards students. They try to teach students in a very conceptual way rather than bookish knowledge. Apart from that teachers regularly take students out for experiments in labs to provide good learning to them.

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Likes

The campus is well maintained and is clean
Teachers are willing to give individual attention if needed
Above average food is provided in canteen

Dislikes

Lack of campus life as college is strict
Majority of the staff members are the type to hold a grudge against you
Spoon feeding students and not allowing them to think and improvise accordingly

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from semester 6 onwards. But campus placement for civil engineering is fairly low. But companies like Aarbee Structures Pvt Ltd has offered jobs for my mates

Is engineering here worth it?

Likes

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year,project phases.
Fests,events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

The sacrifices of students

Likes

The teachers and the classrooms. The facilities of yhe college also good
The teachers are very friendly and cares about students
The facilities like all the classes are smart

Dislikes

The hostel is too bad in the college very bad and the bathroom and toilet are very cleanless like indian railway
The food of the hostel is too bad we can get flies from the food
Some teachers are not studying proper they are just reading books and not explains

I choose this course because i heard that this course gives us many opportunity after graduation like in translation and we will able to speak arabic well. The teaching method was good but not now. Now all teachers are only reading books in classrooms The semester exams were between 3 months now from this academic year it will in 6 months

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

My dear college

Likes

I liked the atmosphere the college offers and the facilities for studying
The sports facilities are pretty good considering the supplements they have
The library got my attention since it has alot of books and its the centre of attraction of the college

Dislikes

The college doesn't provide any placements and job opportunities
The college doesn't provide any pool options for swimming lessons
Teachers get changed every now and then this makes the continuity of the lessons very hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

The social service got my eyes on this course. The intention of creating the mentality of helping others by social service made me join the course. This course provides a great service towards the betterment of future and people in it.

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement
