Remarks

The college education, facilties infrastructure, faculty and college environment ,all are completely satisfactory. The students receive good placements and the exposure provided is also enough for students to groom themselves into confident individuals.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course allows the students to have a overall understanding of all the domains in the corporate sector. The course is a mix of theory and practical aspects and the students through case studies and project works understand the real business world and its working.

Placement Experience

The college placements are good .Many companies come to college for placements and a huge strength of students is able to get a place with them. The college has full exposure for students and there is no doubt the placements are satisfactory.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For each semester ,the fees is INR 12,000 that is feasible and also very less as compared to other colleges. The college has scholarships for the one who find the fees unaffordable and the college provides full support to them in order to aid them with their education.

Campus Life

The list for the events is endless. There are so many events and opportunities for students to exhibit their talent that it is hard to count the total events college organises yearly. There are freshers day, cultural events ,sports meet and many other for students to participate and enjoy them all.The college had equal gender ratio and there is no discrimination done on any grounds.

Admission

The college offers admission for the course on the basis of merit list and a student must have 45% marks in 10+2 for general category and 40% marks for those belonging to OBC/SC/ST category. The admission is given to those who are eligible for course and meet all the criteria.

Faculty

The faculty is outstanding. They not only help the students academically but also guide them in general for their career. They are generous ,kind, understanding and extremely helpful towards students. They try to provide every bit of knowledge they have with them to students about the subject.

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

The campus is well maintained and is clean
Teachers are willing to give individual attention if needed
Above average food is provided in canteen

Dislikes

Lack of campus life as college is strict
Majority of the staff members are the type to hold a grudge against you
Spoon feeding students and not allowing them to think and improvise accordingly

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from semester 6 onwards. But campus placement for civil engineering is fairly low. But companies like Aarbee Structures Pvt Ltd has offered jobs for my mates

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Dislikes

The college doesn't provide any placements and job opportunities
The college doesn't provide any pool options for swimming lessons
Teachers get changed every now and then this makes the continuity of the lessons very hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

The social service got my eyes on this course. The intention of creating the mentality of helping others by social service made me join the course. This course provides a great service towards the betterment of future and people in it.

My life as a josephite

After the 12th i submitted the application online and i put st josephs as my first option and christ college as second. i got ibnto st josephs in the trial allotement itself and straightway joined into the college. Getting admission that too in self financing was not at all a difficulty as i had around 89%. But my friends who scored above 95% faced lot of struggle to get into the merit quota where the fee will be less. there also reservation plays a role. even a student with less than my mark got into merit seat just ecause she was in reservation. The reservation dramas will be there regardless of college. but getting an upperhand for the NRI students throughout the academic year in all ways just because they paid lakhs to join is a worst thing to have. especially the favouritsm of having no parents in town as guardian and having to stay at hostel....Read More
