School of Computer Science and Information Technology , Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidhyalaya has availability of modern computer labs , effective programming skill development opportunities and availability of language labs to master language skills. Also this college have very experienced faculties. Co-curricular activities include games like Volleyball , badminton , Table tennis, football , chess . Cultural activities like dance and music are also available . The only drawback of this place is improper maintenance of the system and administration. When it comes to admission procedure, it is simply based on merit system (12th board percentage) for B.C.A course . To apply , you need to go to their website www.scs.dauniv.ac.in and fill up the application form and submit your application fee (?750/-) . Then a merit list will be held , submit your documents for verification , then they will post a final admission list on their website. Application Forms are released in the month of march.

I am highly interested in learning programming languages therefore I choose this course. There are total 90 students enrolled in this course divided into 2 batches , batch A and Batch B having 45 students each, With 6 teachers for each batch. Faculties here are highly qualified ,generally with M.tech or M.C.A degree for technical subjects Bachelor of computer application is a 3 years course and has six semesters and two semesters are completed each year. There are 2 exams held in a year. One is mid sem and second is final , along with 3 unit tests throughout the year. It is not that difficult to qualify these exams if you learn and analyse your subjects properly.

Students become eligible for placements from 6th semester onwards. Companies that visited VMware FICO Accenture Infosys Impetus TCS Hecaware Gammastack Cognam Dispark Daffodils Cognizant The highest package for B.C.A graduate was INR 400000/- per annum and the lowest was INR 250000/- per annum. 75 percentage of students get placed in companies every year. I want to pursue Master of Computer Application after B.C.A graduation from this college.

The fee for each year is INR 44000/- , which is to be paid in 2 installments of INR 22000/- each. There are several scholarships available such as ST/SC Scholarships ,OBC scholarship , Medhavi Chatra yojana (for meritorious students having 70% marks in m.p board and 80% marks in CBSE board) There are on campus jobs for financially weaker students to fund their studies in the university, where the student is paid a certain amount for lab maintenance job . For financial assistance the department is always ready to help you by forwarding your problem under economically weaker students category to the M.P government.

The annual cultural fest SCSIT,DAVV is held once every year in the month of december. There is a big library with a lot of programming and tech related books , you can take library membership to issue books for yourself. Classrooms are well managed with proper facilities and smart boards. The furniture is well maintained. Sports meet is held every year with various sports competitions like volleyball, football, badminton,table tennis, chess and others. NSS (National service scheme ) camp is organised by the students in which they travel to local areas ,like villages and towns around to spread social awareness, healthy living,cleanliness and other human duties.
