EIT Faridabad, B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering

Reviewed on Jul 6, 2020

Remarks

Near me and was one of the good private institutions at the time, the outlook was good and heard good things about it and I opted for mechanical because I wanted to understand how things worked, it was that I was able to relate with that line of learning.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is pretty mundane its just that things from the 1980s are still being taught and they just teach those things and the things have like 10% real life implementations. Would have been really good if they start teaching things that could help the kid in real life scenarios, like problem solving decision making.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 124706 per year

Internships Opportunities

No internship from the college, I have worked with Orient Electrical and a bunch of other startups but it was majorly unpaid.

Placement Experience

Barely in place, they don't care about what branch you have studied for a better part of your life in order to get students placed they just bring random low level paying jobs and get people hired to show the numbers.

College Events

2.5

The fests and other events are held in pride and with great pomp and show. The college allocates no funds for it. The students use their own budgets to get things done. At some point even the projects are not funded by the college unless they give a better reputation to the institution.

Campus Life

4.5

The infrastructure is the only thing that would look appealing about this college it looks good and makes you think it is one of the premium institutes whereas the story is different on the inside, the students are just local people creating havoc, the labs are fine and systems work well.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel as per my good friends was good to live in but again the problem lies in the crowd around there were goons roaming around making noises in the night, some eventually broke into the hostel and start a fight.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Best college

Likes

I liked the environment and opportunities provided here.
Faculty members helps us in our work and always guide us whenever I feel distracted.
Also opportunities in sports is also very good here. There's a lot of opportunities provided in sports.

Dislikes

Sometimes the class timings create a lot of stress and anxiety to me.
Sometimes social engagement creates awkwardness.
The crowd here is very chaotic and sometimes I feel suffocated.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester students start to get internships depending on their work and skills. I listened it from my seniors that 5-7 company visited here regarding internship. 7/10 students get good placement but it depends on the skills and working style.

Amity University Gurgaon is a good option

Likes

The campus is modern and has a nice vibe.
The environment is good for learning and exploring creativity.
The infrastructure and overall college atmosphere are impressive.

Dislikes

The fees are quite high compared to many other colleges.
More practical exposure and industry projects would be helpful.
Placement details and internship opportunities could be communicated more clearly.

Placement Experience:

Placements in interior design depend a lot on your skills, creativity, and portfolio. Amity Gurgaon could provide opportunities to explore internships and connect with professionals in the industry. After completing the course, I would like to work with an interior design firm, gain practical experience, and eventually build my own identity in the field. I feel that developing strong design skills and gaining industry exposure will be important for my career.

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.
