Remarks

College is well maintained and rooms washrooms are well maintained. Staff is supportive and labs are well equipped.

Entrance Preview

I got 621 rank in PTU entrance exam and i took admission because it was one of the best college at that time.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course is good and that was good it is as per the norms of punjab technical university.

Internships Opportunities

No stipend. I did my college internship outside the college they did not offer any intership program even in this they have to improve and offer us more options for the intership.

Placement Experience

3.5

That was good. Many people got jobs in big mncs like infosys, wipro, tech mahindra. I got placed in mnc based in londona nd got job in gurgaon. Its a mnc for mechanical or automobile products.

College Events

2.5

Fest, annual day, extra calicular activities were not much when we joine but by the end of our degree time they started doing annual day and fest of 3 days in college primises and we enjoyed all good times in those days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive as they charge for development funds every year which is nowhere acceptable and no it is everywhere even in established schools ask for such funds.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship is availed by me. I paid complete fees as they do not give any scholarship. Even i was the first student in 2003 batch who took admission in their college even then they did not offer any scholar ship.

Campus Life

3

Labs are well equipped with all equipment desired for that lab campus is just ok. It is big and vast and well maintained too. Workshops are equipped with maximum equipment.

Hostel Facilities

2

Rooms are clean but mess is mess. Rooms and wash rooms are clean and well maintained but food in mess is not as per norms even they are charging more as compare to the quality of food.

Alumni/Alumna

They were supportive and caring. They help as mentor and support us like younger brother and sister. They support their juniors and help them in all respects.

Faculty

3.5

Hard working and willing to teach. They help students to learn and educate them for all the technical and practical things and try to correlate with the practical things happening in jobs. We can trust their staff for proper support in course duration.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
