Nirf rank 9, of nit silchar has fascinate me to choose it over nit patna and uttarakhand, both three colleges have similar closing ranks for ece but ultimately i see ranks of them, rank of nit patna was 26, nit silchar was 10, and nit uttarakhand was some what around 24, so ultimately i see ranks as well as year of establishments, nit silchar is the REC, regional engineering college, the top college of northeast states among all 7 states, established in 1967, so it overall fascinates me, also hostel facilities are awesome, while nit patna has old hostels. So nit silchar seems to be better at that time, so i choosed it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The cources are not very good, actually not designed with the fulfill ment of the current demands, also we have absolute marking,so getting 80 % requires have to really very work hard, while in nit patna and mnnit bhopal has relative marking, so this thing most of the students doesn't know before joining the college, but it effects their all 4 years of college. Also coming to the faculties, as faculties also have their reservation while joining the institution, like whether they are sc st or obc,so really we don't have good knowledgable professors like iits,everything we have to see from youtube or internet.and this is for all nits and iits nit only my college. And one of my professor named ds gujjar sir is really qualified, and deserves respect in the field of analog communication.

Placement Experience
A lot of good companies visited our campus like amazon,gold man sachs, capgemini, samsung R&D, codenations, etc. So that's why the students also get placed there, also the environment is a bit competitive so students are trying hands on so many things like start up, one of my friend opened a startup that connects all the hotels and restaurants of the city with a single server under him, so all the online orders were placed at an online portel which was under his control, and those restaurants who were not offering online deleivery got offered online deleivery after joined his team,a so it was no less than swiggy idea, so we have a different cell called startup center, so there is a competitive environment therefore.
College Events
Very good and fascinating, we have a very amazing life, as two of our boys hostels are just innovated., and in remaining three, repairing is going on like painting,tiling, yes, the administration is spending a lot in this feild. Also, our campus is 650 acres long, so you can imagine how long it is.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, i am having 2/3reimbursement of my total fee back as my family income is between 1 to 5 lakhs. So, that's an advantage of the nit s over private colleges.
Campus Life
Yes, all these facilities are very much better than any other nit, we have Asia's biggest digital library, so yes that's the reason we are ranked 9 th among all institutions. And, other infrastructure like wifi, hostels, medical facilities, sports,all are extremely good.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, i am an hustler, and the rooms are sharing basis, upto 3rd year, and hostel expenses are just 15500 for 6 months,including mess,so that's an advantage For us. And all other facilities like cleaniness of hostels,bathrooms are extremely good in my hostel, there are around 40 to 50 rooms on a floor including 2 in a room, which is better than nit patna where 3 in a room are there, as one of my friend is there.
