Remarks

I would recommend everyone looking at doing law to at least apply here and hope for the best. The management and faculty are all very good.

Entrance Preview

I had taken the amity entrance exam along with a few others. I had gotten admission in Jindal Law School-Sonipat, Symbiosis-Pune but I wanted to stay in Delhi and this is the best option that I had. Being in my final year I can finally say that Amity Law School has been a great experience. Of course there are ups and downs but I mostly enjoyed. They give importance to sports, mooting and other extra curriculars. There were regular cultural activities planned. Many seminars and talk were conducted by leading professionals of the legal fraternity. I will cherish my 5 long years in amity all because of the holistic experience provided by the faculty and director sir.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is good. Each semester we have to do an internship and then submit a report on it. There are several project works that force you to think beyond the classroom. Your final years brings to you a dissertation which is a detailed research and reflects on your last 5 years.

Internships Opportunities

There is a mandatory internship for all semesters. Students generally find internships on their own, and the college is pretty flexible on that. They also do provide some internships but not many.

Placement Experience

3.5

I haven't graduated yet so I cannot talk about placements. But I have heard from seniors that a few big companies like HCL do come for recruting on campus. Being a fairly new college the placement options are widening with each passing year. So hopefully by the time I graduate next year I would get a job on campus it self.

College Events

4

There is an annual sports fest, then the cultural and music fest. There are regular dance performances, visits by celebrities etc. The university also participates in a lot of fests of other universities and sends students as representatives. I have been for the symbiosis fest in Pune myself.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is ?10 lakhs for 5 years, but there are scholarships and discounts that you get according to your grades. If you are scoring well continuously then you get a very high rebate. Some students even get a 100 percent scholarship for doing exceptionally well.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships offered on the basis of your grades. If you are doing well in your exams your next semesters fees will be reduced.

Campus Life

3.5

The gender ratio is pretty much equal. And extra curriculars I have mentioned above. The focus is on extra curriculars as much as it is on academics. Sports and mooting are especially very important in amity law school. We have been winning the sports meet called sangathan for the last 3 years consecutively.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There is a canteen in our building itself which is famous for its chilli potato. There is also a food court on campus which has CCD, dominos, subway and a host of other restaurants. There is a full fledged Chinese and Indian restaurant called Wall Street on campus as well. There is also a grocery store to buy basic necessities. Outside all the gates of the college are many food trucks and stalks which sell yummy food.

Alumni/Alumna

I have a great rapport with seniors. We are all still in touch. They are very helpful in most situations and they were welcoming ever since the first year.

Exam Structure

Each semester has one set of internal exams and then the final exams. They cover the syllabus well. The teachers prepare you with enough material way in advance so nothing in the exam is really that surprising. Most students do well due to the rigorous preparation that has been done.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculty is very good. They are friendly and helpful. One particular faculty even helped me secure an internship outside college. They go out of their ways to help you if you are nice to them. If student has mentor assigned to them to help them in case of any grievance.

Overall experience of the campus is very good. I really enjoy the studies as well as other extra-curricular activities. I am glad that I took admission here as I experience many things that I wouldn't have been able to experience in any other university. Nice friendly and peaceful atmosphere in the campus makes it the best campus. Although the placements is still a worry for us but lets hope we get the best results.
