Remarks

It is one of the best designing colleges in Kolkata. The fees is also moderate with proper facilities. Also the college has tie ups with big brands like Lakme, Zara, Vero moda, etc which gives students good exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview

The teaching faculty members were average here. Some of them are really good, well qualified and helpful but the curriculum requires an upgrade as it doesn't makes students industry ready.Doubt clearing classes are also given to students of all streams.

Placement Experience

3.5

Top roles offered to the students are designer, VC and a store manager of reputed brands and designers boutiques. The college provides internships and industrial visits. We have the highest stipends during the various internships. The roles that the students were given were in the designing field and retail merchandising.

College Events

2.5

Our college organizes and event called ELIXR every year in which students get to showcase their designs and bigger forums like lakme fashion week comes as judges. Also celebrities comes to our colleges like Manish Malhotra.

Campus Life

Our college provides a well-facilitated infrastructure, labs and classrooms with proper libraries which gets duly updated. There's no canteen in the college which makes it very difficult for the students who come from far. College also has wifi connectivity free for students.

Placement Experience:

Placement at GH Raisoni College Of Engineering and Management are moderate, especially for CSE/AI Student . Students become eligible from the 7th sem. companies like TCS, Infosys, and WIPro visit the campus. The higher package goes upto around 8-10 LPA, and the average Package is 3-4 LPA. Around 60-75% of students get placed. After graduation, i plan to work in software/AI roles and improve my skills through internship and Certifications.

Placement Experience:

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:20, and most teachers are quite approachable if you meet them during their free slots. I really appreciate the senior professors in the core departments because they have deep subject knowledge and explain concepts practically. However, some newer faculty members tend to stick strictly to the textbook or slides, which makes the lectures a bit dry. Since the college follows the SPPU pattern. I chose this course after a long CAP round process. Initially, I was aiming for VIT or DY Patil in Pune, and even checked out colleges in Mumbai and MVP KBTCOE in Nashik, but I ultimately landed here at AISSMS. The curriculum is quite comprehensive for building a strong engineering foundation, though I feel it could include more industry-relevant tools and coding workshops.

Placement Experience:

The placments are overall moderately good especially if you are from electrical branches including Electrical , Electronics, Computer, and Instrumentation Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. From third year onwards internship season starts where companies visits our campus and students need to go through online tests and series of interviews for each companies to get offer where the students selected for offer need to attend the internship after the end of third year in may and june when college have holidays. Similarly Based on performance the interns may get full time offer as well. Full Time Placement starts in final year and the process is exactly same where the interviews are mostly online and the students placed gets the offer letter. Almost 90 - 95% of the students especially of above branches gets placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So the Computer Engineering is all about core subjects which are really helpful for future like cloud, iot and Database etc But the syllabus of the university change after every 4 years and there is nothing but removing one subject and add another similar subject but I think in era of Ai and automation the syllabus is sort of outdated like if you are getting in Second year you have to learn subject which you have not interested in so you have to learn those subjects anyway and if you want to learn more about new skills you have to do it by yourself.
