I choose this college because I was hearing from many years that new horizon is helpful to student because both education and sports are involved which is very rare because there are colleges only with education and also they help in a better placement. Good teaching. So overall it is the best college I have ever seen teachers involves the participation of the student with good English spoken.
Basically, I wanted to become a software. So the best course for software is BCA. In our college the faculty is one of the best college faculty I have studied because where our I have studied the use of local language so.
The college is known for placements of the students where more than 100 company come to college for the student. Even for backlogs students also college will send to the company because for confident and experience.
So basically the fee structure is high from our side but they provide good scholarship to the student who is merit from the college. Even they provide nation scholarship to all student. NSP is the scholarship which college is providing us.
There are many curricular activities in our college. The biggest fest in our college is "surgam" where another college is also involved in this fest. So sports are also provided to the students at the national level so.
There is no admission test written in our college. They basically ask the percentage of 10th and 12th. So it was easy to do admission in college. There was one round for admission only there is round for fee structure.
The students will be eligible for campus placement in the third year there will be one year internship. I don't any much about that because I am still in 1st sem. Above 70% of students will be eligible to get placements. I will write some government exams.
For the 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placement Cerner, Wipro, Accenture, thought focus is companies that visited 3.25 lakhs as an average package The students should have 90+ percentage After getting a degree to do a job for one year after that MCA.
Overall, Jain University is a nice college but the feedback system is of no use there, they just take the feedback but dont consider it at all.
Admissions happen at the time of March-June. I saw the list of best colleges in Bangalore and Jain University was the 2nd top University for BCA course which formed a good image in my mind about the college. Though the admission process starts with an online form which takes 1500 INR fees and then student have to give an entrance exam which is JET, if the student passes in that exam then a personal interview happens at the same day then the rest of fee submission takes place which is 1, 47, 000 INR for BCA (MACT specialisation) course.
There is nothing that positive to be exclaimed about this college, There are negative things about the college and these are not good for the students who wish to study here. Being a former student of this college I've learnt things by myself taking courses externally and securing a job.
The only remark I would like to give is the college is out of the city (2 km) and there is a traffic police station on the way. So you have to be careful with a vehicle on the road so that you don't end up paying a huge amount of fine to the officer.
If you want a support for both academics and athletics you can prefer this college undoubtedly except that there are no much campus interviews the other facilities are excellent. The ambience of the college is nature friendly and thus also builds a student friendly campus
