Remarks

Good- campus, faculties, half year full of cultural activities, well equipped laboratories, good library with good books, good environment. Bad- college buses, very strict in attendance. Overall college is good and worth for joining. It is in top 10 colleges of Bangalore and it deserves it.

Entrance Preview

CET, I wanted to join in any specialized branch in mechanical engineering instead of general mechanical engineering. So jssate stands in the top 10 college and has industrial engineering and management branch which only few colleges have this branch. That was the good choice too.

Internships Opportunities

No. Internships are usually for post graduation courses and not for the engineering. Yes, for Mtech students. Automotive industry simulation internship-India's Biggest Automotive Internship and also many companies calls for internships such as Bharath fritz Werner ltd., Kennametal India ltd., cognizant, TCS, W.

Placement Experience

4

Placements and job opportunities are very good. Many companies visit and conduct interviews such as Infosys, BEML (both Bangalore and KGF), Tata consultancy services, Wipro, Cognizant, BEL, BHEL, Toyota Kirloskar, Yokogawa India, Jindal steels, Hical Magnetics.

College Events

4.5

Inter-college Technical seminars- conducts with various technical topics for each departments and participants participates from various colleges of VTU. Paper presentation on technical topics, Blood donation camps, Organ donation camps, Verve Technical fests campus events- includes cultural competitions, rock music competition, mad-ads, live concert by one of the biggest celebrities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

CET 1st year and lateral entry: Tuition fees-33000, COMED-K 30% seats and management 25% seats: Tuition fees-137500, University fees- 4365, Government prescribed fees- 540, Institutional management fee-1695, Other college fees- 20500, Total: CET-60100 and COMED-K and Management seats- 164600.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship facilities are there in the institution as my many friends availed it but I have not. I think scholarship is given on the basis of percentage scored in the academics and also on caste categories. Even college encourages and support students to avail the benefits.

Campus Life

4.5

College gave me best of all and its memorable too and even people out there are very cultured. The gender ratio is like 70% boys and 30% girls, when we look into branches in Mechanical we find 80% are boys and rest are girls, but in computer science and electronics ratio will be almost equal. As in Bangalore we may find diversities coming from all part of country and as a localite, we have never treated our outside comers as different region people, and even we never forced to adapt our culture, instead we also learn from and let them to learn. And there is no politics in the college.

Hostel Facilities

3

The Institute has separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostel can accommodate around 500 students. Three students are accommodated in a room. Few rooms are with two occupancy and attached bath & toilet. Pure vegetarian mess facility is available in the hostel. At present mess charges for boys are Rs. 2,150 per month and for girls are Rs. 1,400.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is good and college will be in touch with alumni's and invites for the college events and encourages to share alumni experiences and also job opportunities with the students. Alumina are always helpful for the final year students as its quite difficult to get the job references for fresher's and the college kept good contacts and maintained network with alumina and I'm in touch with my college and helped students to get project work and internships.

Exam Structure

Exam structures are normal as every engineering colleges has Every 45 days internals will be conducted to the whole college as it will be similar to external exams and labs are having good equipment and has all types of apparatus required for the lab experiments and lab attenders are also good and friendly nature people who helps us in external exams when we miss something in experiment results. So its all easy going.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
