Remarks

The process for getting enrolled is not a difficult one. One needs to attend GLAET and clear the cutoff which can be easily done with the basic knowledge of PCM. The counseling facility is one of the best things about GLAU. Their Counselling team is very friendly and is accessible for any sort of help. My enrollment process took near around 3 days. It was an easy one. They all help in selecting the best suitable branch as per your interest.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

GLA has a very good teaching staff. The ratio of Students to teachers must be near around 10:1 which is good considering it a PU. Faculty are very friendly, they are always there to help you out no matter what. I personally know some of the faculties who helped me get through the core subjects as I was not so good at them. Many of the faculty are Ph.D. holders or are enrolled in it. So, they have good detailed knowledge about the subjects. The curriculum is an issue as they are still following the one which has been taught for over a decade. Though, they are trying their best to involve practical implementation as they have recently collaborated with some of the CORE companies and have set up 2-3 tech labs.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Some Startups do come to provide Internships and GLA also organizes Many Tech Training Sessions during the summers. Internships hold almost 4 credits in engineering results, so it's a must to do. People usually go for an off-campus internship too.

Placement Experience

4.5

I've got 3 job offers, I'll be pursuing one of those. Placements are good at GLA. The average package has also reached almost between 5 to 7 lac/p.a. though the highest package goes till 25 lac/p.a. Most of the students are placed with good packages in startups and MNC's too. Almost 75-80% of ECE Students get placed. Some of the companies visited for the session year 2020-21 are Microsoft, Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Devslane, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Square Boat, TTN, VVDN, Orange, Analytics Vidhya, Juspay, Sify, MedLife, and many more

Fees and Financial Aid

Another best thing about this university is it's the nominal fee structure, it's very affordable compared to other universities in this geographical region. The fee hike is very low(usually between 2-3k every year) Many of my batchmates graduated with at least one placement. I was also fortunate enough to get 3 job offers in the very 1st month of the placement session. They provide financial assistance for the students who struggle a bit financially. During enrollment, they provide 20-30% off for students having more than 90% in boards and that scholarship can be maintained if one keeps his/her CPI above 8 throughout the sems. UP Scholarship policies are also there.

Campus Life

4

In the very first week, I started envying my friends who were in metropolitan cities enjoying their night lives which were not possible on a campus which was located 17km from Mathura on NH2. Though, over time with maturity, I realized how lucky I was for being away from the pollution of those metropolitan cities. I found peace and purpose on the campus itself. I joined Entrepreneurship Cell which is the only student-run organization on the campus as I wanted to enhance my intrapreneurial skills. It helped me to grow in fields other than academics which is very much needed in today's era. Other than this there are many social clubs to get enrolled in as per your interest. Ninad for Music Enthusiast, Natraj for Dance Enthusiast, Dristhi for Photography Buds, Vihti for Drama folks, and other than this too there are many cultural clubs like Literario, Strangle. LAU has almost 18 sports being played on campus with all the necessary gears and all the required coaches, Courts.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel is one of the attractions of GLA. The very famous "Wings". I recommend one should opt for hostel facilities, It's affordable and one should not miss hostel life especially if it's an engineering hostel life. Hostels are easily available. Mess food is good and costs 100-120 for entire day meals. There are many Dhabas, Restaurants right outside the main gate. Do try Sonu ka Bharta Paratha, Aunty's Samosa, Sooraj Rolls. There are many accommodations available nearby the campus. Flats, PGs, Private Hostels are available at a distance of 500m to 5km from the campus at affordable prices.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
