Entrance Preview

I passed KEAM 2012 with a score of 40000. My first choice was to study outside kerala but My father told me to study in kerala so That i can go to college from home itself no need of hostel and mess, college is within 5km.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course structure is very poor. No provision for research and further studies. Majority of subjects are useless or i sometimes i feel that why iam studying such subject which have no connection with mechanical engineering. Elective subjects are provided in 7th and 8th semester. Nanotechnology, industrial safety, principle of management and automobile.

Internships Opportunities

In my college life i have never seen any companies come to our college. We go to other industry to complete internship.

Placement Experience

0.5

Musaliar college have never seen a company which came here and taken mechanical engineers. No company ever choice our college for placement. One or two times our college management have taken few students who are interested in placement are taken to other colleges where placement are going on

College Events

3

Every year we conduct a technical cultural festival. This fest is name as avishkar. The fund for the fest is collected from the students and a small amount of fund is sanctioned by the management. We collect some sponsors for the event also. As the name is technically cultural fest, technical events are very less and less projected.

Fee Structure And Facilities

65,000 rs for merit seats and 90, 000 rs for management quota seat 1, 10, 000 rs for NRI seat per year . Mainy scholarship are provided by the college. Students from st/sc caste have given concessions in fees. Obc and minority are also provided with scholarship. Only high cast and hindus are neglected.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many scholarship are provided bu college management. Students with good marks in 12th exam are given 100%scholarship. Other scholarship for st/sc caste and obc. More advance are given for muslim students.

Campus Life

1

Gender ratio is 1:1. College conduct students election for college union and ABVP plays a major role in the election and social welfare of the students, and works for the betterment of the college. Musaliar college is a college working under muslim trust. They show soft corner to the Muslim students and give admission for Muslim students with fees concessions.

Exam Structure

We also have problems with our Exam structure. Our college is affliated to mahathma gandhi university. According to which the regular exams and supplementary exam come on the same day which will bring heavy burden on us. We cant study for two exam in one day. The result are published very late.

Faculty

1.5

All the professor in our college have completed their m tech. But The problem is that all the faculty are studied in the same college and after that They join the same college with out any experience. Majority of prof are qualified but They are not capable of teaching or spreading the knowledge. They do not know how to teach. Even some prof do not the basis the subject which they are teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
