Remarks

Management is good but the staff is not paid their salary on time. Although many college don't even pay sometimes staff is paid here but not on time.

Entrance Preview

I scored 60 in JEE. I always liked Programming and so took this course. I am using a computer for more than 12 years so I also have a passion to learn more about it.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is Average with respect to research. We are studying things invented in 1970's - 1980's which is also important but not invented in the last decade which is more important. The course needs a complete overhaul to keep up with these times.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't heard the college directly sending students for internships. Students have to approach companies themselves.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement for my department is very good. Above 80% in recent years. The average package was 3.5 lakhs PA. Companies like Accenture, Cognizant were the main recruiters. Microsoft also hired 2 students last year. Around 30-40 companies came last year.

College Events

4

Many events throughout the year occur. Technical event Techtonic and cultural Sinhgad Karandak takes places every year every year a world famous band or performer is invited for a concert. Traditional events like dandiya and narvratri days are also celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is 1 lakhs per year for open category and 5-10 thousand for Scheduled caste and tribes. It is expensive for someone from the open category but is not well off. Also keeping in mind the labs and classroom and other facilities the fees might seem expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't heard of any scholarships for educational purposes. But in the college might fund you if you have a good start up idea in the entrepreneurship cell.

Campus Life

3.5

70:30 ratio Boys to Girls approximately. Students from many parts of the country and some African and Middle East countries can be seen on campus. Everyone respects each other on the campus. Some students have drinks in their hostel room. I have also heard them smoking weed but never seen anyone.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The rooms have 4 beds for 4 students and one small closet for every student. The WiFi has poor signal and is of no use. The mess food is bad but cheap. The sabzis are bland and not much variety is available. We prefer to eat elsewhere. Many options are available near the campus.

Alumni/Alumna

Many alumnis of the college are now in good companies abroad or in India. Some of them are entrepreneurs. During our induction some alumnis were invited to share their experiences.

Exam Structure

During college days it's never hectic always chilled out. Slowly as the exam approaches the assignments and submissions of all the subjects become a bit hectic but not if done on time. We don't have many days to prepare so during the Preparation leave it is somewhat hectic.

Admission

Central admission process took place as always in Maharashtra. I got admission in the CAP round - 3 notification was released in June and process began in July. The college began in last week of August. The administration was well organized. Everything was online. All details and submissions also were done online. Only for verification and the 3rd round we had to go to the centres.

Faculty

3

Some of the teachers are highly qualified and very experienced. They also take much interest to teach us. But not all come in that category. Some are under qualified and don't have in depth knowledge of the subject and also the teaching method is boring.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
