Overview of my college

As I do not avail any quota and I belong from a general category so there was no concession for my marks from which I got admission to Chaudhary Charan Singh University. I had not applied for any other universities as I have always admired to be studying on this campus because it provides all the essentials I was looking for for my future studies and growth. There was no entrance test to this course as this is an undergraduate, so it is entirely based on a merit basis. So at the time I applied, the merit gone upto 83% and I got lucky as I scored 84.75% and I finally fulfil the dream of studying B.Com Honours from this university. As the course is specialisation so only ccs University provided this course in my region so I always wanted to study here only. So after my board's result, I filled the admission form and then I got the call that I was selected. The process finished with filling a registration form and fee slips and that's when I got my offer letter.

The reason I choose this course was that it is a specialisation which separates it from the normal graduation course and provides me with more career opportunities. About faculty, I would say, that the faculty is tremendous and it exceeded all my expectations. The teachers are highly qualified and experienced and dedicated. Their teaching method so friendly that we do not hesitate to ask any questions, and they respond likewise. There are separate teachers for every seperate special subject and they are highly commended in their own field. The ratio is about 6 teachers who teach the subject which we have in one semester over 50 students. To qualify a year there held two semesters exams with the gap of 6 months in a year and one could qualify it with consistency and hard work in the classes.

Being a 2nd-year student there are not many roles offered by other companies, but the campus itself organises many counselling sessions as recently there was a session held by career launcher which very much proved to be helpful regarding future aspects. As heard from seniors there are some companies that target high achievers students for their internship programme. In my course, many companies provide the training for being an accountant and even a consultant. Such companies like KPMG provides such facilities.

As I am a second year student, so I am not yet eligible for the campus placements but the students of the third year are more than welcome to follow up on the recruitment process. As heard from the seniors, companies like KPMG offers a nice amount of jobs cum counselling sessions. Approximately 30% of students are placed by campus recruitment from the undergraduate slot, who have fewer plans for postgrad. As per my plans after undergraduate, I would like to go for postgrad and then aim for a high profile job.

The fees are quite affordable as it is a specialisation course so it's not that costly. The fee of 26000 approx is paid once a year and is paid 3 times so it is approximately 79000/. That could also be paid in instalments and concessions can also be made for the economically weaker section and the people with quota. There is also the opportunity of scholarship provided by the government and it's highly applicable in the university I also availed in the scholarship named Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Yojna. The campus recruitment is based on counselling and it's highly useful.

The life of the campus is pretty amazing. There are no bounds and restrictions on exploring any aspect of the campus. Such as many tech fests have been organised like stock Market counselling, marketing trade fair and many more which gives us numerous opportunities to indulge in different activities and keeps the monotony away. With the comfortable infrastructure of college and amenities provided it becomes all the more exciting. Student leadership groups have been formed for the students in need, which is a social cause run by the students.
