One of the best Commerce college in South bangalore

I have not taken any entrance exam to join B.Com. My uncle is one of the alumni of this college and he has given wonderful feedback and assured me that i will get best education here for commerce subject,as said it was really a best choice i had taken.

Vijaya College offers B.COM, BBM, BCA, B.SC, BBA and also PUC courses. I had opted B.COM and electives i had been offered to chose between accountancy, finance, marketing, HR. We had been given a research programme on share markets and marks had been allotted to it.

Internships are offered in final year. There is no compulsion in it. So people who opt it get a stipend of 1000rs per month .Its three months internship programme.

Placements are wonderful here. Many reputed companies have been tied up with Vijaya college .Companies like Infosys, Wipro,Tech Mahendra and Banks like Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank. All you are required is score a decent average percentage of 50% or more.

Vijaya college is known for many fests and events mostly cultural events are held. One of the main event is Anjali fest! It is held once in a year in september for 3 days. Many events are held during this period of 3 days. Other than this Annual day,sports day are celebrated. Talent events like debates,etc are also conducted.

Coming to fees structure. Its pretty feasible for middle class people. Fees structure is ranged between 30k and 35k for B.COM, BBM, BCA, B.SC. There is also an option of part payment for those who feel heavy to pay full amount once. All you have to do is just write a letter to principal for permitting part payment.

I have not availed any loan but there many nationalised banks which are giving loan for studies in vijaya college. Scholarship programmes are available for other category people and can opt it for fees reduction and other purpose.

Sports day is conducted in vijaya college once in a year with various outdoor and indoor games with nominal entrance fees for each game. Debates and other extracurricular activities happen most of the days and students who are interested can participate .Talented students get a path for wonderful success here.

Few seniors who got jobs in HDFC, Axis bank, infosys are in contact with me and they are well off . Once in a while they come near college for seminars held for final year students and give a motivational speech on career.

Exam structure is based on Bangalore university as it is affiliated to Bangalore university. It is semester wise exams and before main exams college will conduct two internals and these internal marks will be counted for semester exam. Internals must be considered important by students.

Admission process first I had to collect application form and fill all my details and submit. If I am eligible for admission they notify my name in their notice board. Prescribed admission fees has to be paid before the last date. After this you get the college ID card.

There are a lot of faculty members in the college.Each department has 5-6 faculty members and an HOD. Interaction with each one of the faculty is easy and are friendly going. Teaching is very excellent and are well educated faculty with Specialisation on their respective fields.
