Remarks
I had seen good reviews about this college so I decided to opt for this after comparing several other colleges. I got admission through my JEE Mains score. One can get admission by appearing at the college entrance CGET or through OJEE too. The admission procedure is simple; college is very helpful in this aspect.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for the branch CSE (AI & ML). The faculty is well qualified and excel in their respective department. Most of the professors are Ph.D. holders. They are very helpful and care about students. Even in this pandemic period, they are trying to give us the best through online mode.
Internships Opportunities
The scenario of internships in CGU is decent. College does not do much in providing good internships to the students. Most of the time it's upon the students' hard work to get one. But this is almost the same in the case of most colleges.
Placement Experience
The college provides placement for most of its students and the average package is around 4LPA. Some even manage to get higher packages like 10LPA, but that is very rare. Students become eligible for placements from the 4th Year. The frequency of placements in CS branches is slightly higher than in the other branches. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, IBM, and many more companies come to this college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees are affordable for a private college. The fees are justified for the quality of education they provide. The college has a scholarship for underprivileged meritorious students. One can also avail of various government scholarship schemes.
Campus Life
The campus is lush green with plenty of spaces for socializing. The classrooms are well equipped and the newer ones are fully air-conditioned. There is a gym and a swimming pool on the campus. The college library has a varied collection of books from all departments. There are department-specific libraries too. There is a playground and sports events are regularly organized. There are students' clubs such as Literary Club, Dramatics Club, Music Club, etc. Annual fests are held every year. Students can also participate in the tech fests organized by the college.
Hostel Facilities
You have to book the hostel at the beginning of every academic year. The hostel fees are reasonable concerning the rooms provided. The hostel premises are regularly cleaned and hygiene is maintained well. The food quality is average. All the rooms in the girls' hostel come with a balcony, providing a little personal open space for all. PGs near the college are mostly meant for boys; it is somewhat difficult to find a PG for girls near the college.
