Remarks

I enquired about so many colleges in Bengaluru such as dayanand sagar university (DSI) , Banglore city college, Jain college but I felt surana was my desired choice out of all the other colleges. I felt the other college fees were too expensive compared with my current college. There was no minimum age or marks for my admission criteria. There was an inquiry and counseling day 2 weeks prior to the college reopening. It was a very detailed session wherein the teacher explains everything about the college from campus details to the syllabus that they follow, college timings, dress code to what not. It was a satisfactory counseling and inquiry session provided by the teachers of the institute.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

So, i had taken pcmb (science) in my pre university hoping i would do engineering but eventually, i felt I made an error choosing science because i understood that i wouldn't settle in this stream so i made a last minute change and jumped into the bachelor of business administration (BBA). To be honest, this was one of the best decisions I have ever taken in my 20-year life. BBA suits me and i have managed to understand the syllabus and scored good grades too. About the ratio, i feel every semester we have 6-8 subjects, for all the main subjects we have an ample number of faculty members but for the MCQ subject, there are not many options at all. There are all well qualified, majority of them have good experience in the teaching field. I would say their teaching method is very average, not something to compliment about. Exam timings were a bit lengthy i felt but it was very easy to pass, no doubt about it.

Internships Opportunities

3

I didn't do any internship but my college provided details of many companies providing internships but i wasn't interested in it but for the campus replacement, i got selected for the final round of Infosys, they offered my 2.4L/annum for a voice executive job. I didn't do any projects regarding internships

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester (final semester) students became eligible for campus recruitment. Companies such as Infosys, Wipro , Dr cooper partnered with our college for recruiting students. They made offers to all segments such as BBA, Bcom, BCA , Bsc based on voice and nonvoice criteria. The highest pack offered is around 10L /annum. The average is around 2-3L/annum. Only 15-20% of the students get placed. My plans after the degree are to work in a reputed MNC and want to experience the corporate world.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was not much fee hike. I would say a hike of 500/- every year. 1 st year the fee was 71,500/- 2nd year about 72,000/- final year about 72,500/- , wouldn't say big hike in the fee. The cost to study was decent and satisfactory as there was no extra payment except for the exam fee payment. For scholarships, they pay about 9-11k every year for all the minority caste students.

Campus Life

3

We have many fests including varnotsava, it's a dance fest only for our college students which happens in the middle of the ongoing year, then an inter-college fest in the month of November where other colleges come to participate in that. There's a library in our college which has an ample number of books related to studying material and also other novels. We can avail our desired book and have to renew it every week in case we have to keep them for a long period of time. Amenities in the classroom include a big LED smart Tv which is hung to the wall above the chalkboard. The LED tv displays informative videos, presentations with the help of a projector mounted right infront of it and also directs the mounter into the white screen. Our college emphasizes on cricket , football, basketball, athletics and kabaddi. There are many extra curricular activities which happen in our campus namely treasure hunt, best manager, placement training, character development programs, fresher of the year program.

Placement Experience:

I have not yet attended any of the placement scenario, so I cannot say much about the placements. I also do not know correctly about the percentage of students placed. There are various companies that come to our campus for interviews. There are around 40-50 companies that are welcomed. Some of them are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, HCL, HP, and so on. The average package can roughly be like Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum.
