GSSS SOAW The marks required to get into architecture are a Minimum of 50% in PUC in subjects maths and English and 80 marks in NATA. The admission process was convenient and the college has good facilities of college bus, hostel, canteen.

Architecture is a very interesting course where we get oppurtunity the know about the buildings from historical buildings to modern buildings and we get to travel often faculty : student ratio - 1:8 All our faculty have completed masters we will have internals every month the term exam will be once in a 4 months

As the college is GSSS SOAW is a new college, the college has promised to provide good placement and the GSSSIETW has a good placement for both internship and job And ther are many other opportunities for the jobs and the college gives asupport and encourges to get a good placement

As the GSSS SOAW is a new college as the colllege has promised to give a very good placement and our GSSSIETW has a good campus selection and we trust that our college will provide a placement. we can get into govt sector and survey sector,we can have opportunity to go to outer countries and get into teaching

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is very affordable and the fees are fixed for all five years for both management and NATA and for management seat nata is compulsory. the scholarships provided are NSP and SSP and we also have placements in the college

the annual fest conducted in the college is geethayana and architecture students will have site visits monthly and a study tour yearly there are lot many books about architecture like rendering with pen and ink, history of Indian architecture. Our class has board, smart board in the lecture room, and drafting tables we have workshops offend

Thoughts on BMSSA

Likes

Campus is amazing lot of open spaces and maintains all the greenary
The faculty is good as they all are practicing architects
The sports facility is also really good as there r lot of tournaments

Dislikes

Work load given is a lot and the pressure of submissions are unbareable
They expect a lot frm 1st sem students and forget the fact tht we jus started
Lot of teacher student rivalry and affecting the overall passing of the students

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is amazing but again the aheets given and the expected submissions for a 1st yesr is too much and the pressure is high .the teaching methods r basically every 10 students r allotted to s mentor who then guides them thru the design process

Admission:

The admission procedure is not tedious. After plus 2 and appearing for JEE 2 or NATA exams, candidates have to apply with that scores. After screening they will be called for interview. For validation purposes, all the original certificates will be scrutinized.

Remarks:

This is a very good College in terms of education and co-curricular activities. The events hosted in the College and the workshops are almost always paid for so it is hard if you don't have pocket money with you always.

Remarks:

It is in my hometown. it's nearby to my house. there aren't many architecture colleges in Mysore. so I didn't have many options. this was a reputed college and was from where many architects passed out.

One of the top architecture college in Mysore

Admission:

I applied to the college based on my score in the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA). I also appeared in the JEE Main paper 2. However, the NATA score been good then JEE Main paper 2 so I said for the NATA counselling. I was allotted a seat in the institute in spot counselling. After the grant of the admission I was called to the campus to complete the procedural formalities for admission. I opted for the institute because it is one of the top institute for architecture studies in Mysore.

Remarks:

The Architectural education scene is still a work in progress, and the quality changes dramatically in a short period of time and hence the relevancy of my remarks here are questionable., Management has changed recently, the University of Mysore has taken over, and it brings bigger resources, better integration with other university facilities and it's government-like administration with it's pros and cons. It would be wise to personally visit the facilty.
