Amazing college life

Economics at Ashoka university is intriguing as it is taught with Liberal Arts, as in if you are doing your majors in Economics then you can also minor in the fields like political science, computer, mathematics or statistics. Ashoka offers something which I guess no college or university offers. the admission process here is through the academics scores and SAT scores followed by an interview.

At our college the professors are highly qualified and experienced. Most of them are PHD holders from top universities. Talking about academics there are 9 subjects in total and in 5th and 6th sem you can select any 6 subjects that will be offered to you.

Central Square foundation, an ngo where I got my first internship. The team of the foundation visited our college and selected few of the students. I worked there for 6 months and it was really helpful for me.

More than over 200 companies from every field visit our college and offer jobs to us. There is good internship and placement opportunity. Companies like Zomato, RBL bank, India Infoline and many more companies like these provide placement opportunities.

I got admission here in 2019 and so far I think the fees is quite high but on the other hand if I talk about the culture and program at Ashoka then it is quite fair enough. At Ashoka University there is a Financial Aid Policy where 47% of students fees is partially waived and 53% receive 100% tution waiver or hostel/ meal.

So far I really had an amazing experience at the campus. There are a lot clubs and societies that you can join. Even I am a part of one of the club's here. The crowd here is very diverse and so you get to meet new people, you get exposure and a lot more. The campus life is awesom here. Sports, library, equipments, Wifi availability, you just name it and you will get it.

The hostels are well maintained. We have sharing rooms and all the rooms are well air conditioned. Most importantly the campus is extemely safe! The washrooms are clean and hygienic. The house keeping staff are really humble and sweet. The food I would say is really delicious.

The admission process at Ashoka University is really smooth. I was selected for an interview round after my assessing my academic score, SAT score and a mandatory aptitute assesment. After you clear all these rounds you get a phone call whether you are eligible or not.
