My application form for admission was submitted online. I am an MCA student, so it was not mandatory for me to take cucet test ( this is a mandatory test for certain UG programs). After my application form was accepted, I got enrolled in MCA. I was given a UID and links to attend online classes. CU provides scholarships too, applying which, you don't need to pay the full semester fee.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I want to pursue a career in the IT field. The course curriculum is good and up to date. We are being taught the basics of new technologies. There are workshops conducted to introduce us to new technologies. Faculty I would say, on the whole, is average. However, there are some really good teachers too. Term exams were conducted timely and the difficulty level was medium.
Internships Opportunities
Internships offered are paid as well as unpaid. University also offers new technologies and upon its successful completion, we get a certificate. The companies which visit the campus also offer internship opportunities. The stipend varies from company to company. We are required to work on certain minor projects during the internship.
Placement Experience
The placements of CU are quite good. Students are required to enroll in a mandatory program called TPP if they want to appear in the placement drive. This program polishes their aptitude, reasoning, technical and soft skills. Many companies visit the campus each year for placement. The average package is 6-7 LPA while the highest package can be up to 35 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got a scholarship of 20 percent on my semester on the basis of my graduation marks and CGPA. The cost to study is affordable as compared to other private universities and colleges. There are regular campus placement drives being conducted. As of now, I am a placed student with a stipend of 25000 per month.
Campus Life
There are different social clubs for co-curricular activites as well as related to skill-building. Ex - dance club, drama club, music club, literary club, social service club, fine arts club, adventure club, soft skills club.
Hostel Facilities
CU has separate hostels for boys and girls with all modern facilities and attached mess. The hostel mess serves fresh and hygienic food. They provide the facility of 24*7 electricity, wifi, water, etc. Rooms are cleaned every day by housekeepers. There are separate study rooms with a peaceful environment. Hostel fees are different for different hostels and seaters. My fees were 90000 per year for 4 seater room. PGs are also available outside the university and they are not far away.
