CET, My rank was 133339. I didn't wanna stay in my hometown and this was the nearest college around my city.

Course Curriculum Overview

I haven't entered my branch yet. But considering the first year, it is a very peaceful place out here and the course structure is all done by VTU so there's nothing much to worry about. The college just brushes up the structure of VTU and presents it to us. The only subject they add by themselves is English and I'd suggest you not to attend that class.

Internships Opportunities

It doesn't provide an internship as far as I've heard. And I don't know what to write except this.

Placement Experience

I have personally seen seniors getting placed in HP and various other big companies like that. According to the posters of the colleges there are large number of companies that come and a large number of people get selected.

College Events

Only 2 events happen. Ebuzz and Techno vision. Both need improvement. Seriously. Ebuzz might be considered good actually based on the events they hold. But that can be brought up to a bigger level if the people here were broad minded. Techno vision is a technical event. Don't know anything about it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If you are a government quota student then your fees will be 50000 government fees, 19000 building fund, 50000 hostel fees. They collect the building fund only for the first year but I've noticed that the government fees for the next year magically changes from 50000 to 69400. If you are a management student then your fees depends on your marks and the number of people joining your branch.

Admission

Through Government quota. The process was quite easy. As soon as i was selected i came to the college for the next day and submitted all my documents. It was quite easy a task. The guy who collected the documents is superb.

Is NIAT worth the hype? My honest student review

Likes

You actually get to do things instead of just listening to lectures
The learning environment feels quite active
We have good exposure to the tech industry

Dislikes

The workload can get too intense sometimes
Not everything feels like a traditional college experience
The overall cost is a concern as it is a bit high

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

While the academics are strong, more industry visits,live projects.

The curriculum at my college is comprehensive and relevant to current industry requirements . One of the main reasons I chose this course was the balanced combination of theoretical concepts and practical application.

The coaching here is good but one thing is you need you cope up
Transdiciplinary project centric learning

From 2nd year they give placement training..mostly from 6th sem they allow us for placements this year the highest paid is 54Lacks per annum mostly 90 percentage of students gets placed my plan is to for a good job

teaching is mainly in regional languange
placements are about 40 to 50 percent, placements in core is bit difficult
correction for core courses are tough, .

campus placements is pretty good, from 6th sem students are allowed to take placements pretty good companies like synopsis, qualcomm, samsung and many other top requirters do come for placements. there are few people who even with backlogs have placed so it depends on the student capabilty to get placed.

KSIT - A good college with everything mixed level.

Likes

Good teachers, very friendly & teaching is good.
Easy to travel due to multiple transports.

Dislikes

Small infrastructure as the area is too small.
Not have ground to play when students are free

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.

ya the overall infrastructure is good and company placements there was well wishers in that time
teaching is not what i expected but good
mentorship quality is ok,faculty expertise is ok ,profeeional department is medium

Dislikes

they where strict and needed some cultural event for every month of one year
they dependent for notes in their classes where this is not i am interested
they will call for the phone for every wrong things to tell their parents

the curriculum was not inflenced by the decision and where the choosen course was clear and academic marks was good the teching methods need to be very friendly and didnt strict to be done so where then its superb the timing of exams is correctly done and perspective for the difficulty level appliction speceific for the students in their real wor examples
