Remarks

I had earlier applied for B.Ed in Bijoy Pal Memorial B.Ed college. But it was a bit costly plus I wanted to go for the distance course to engage myself with some other activity along with completing my course. As I said I wanted to go for a distance course so I chose the Royal College Of Education this being cheaper plus was recommended by my seniors and friends who gave only positive reviews about it. Admission to this college was done online, it does not have an official website I had to take help from my friends with the admission form filling. After the filling of the form, there was no counselling done it was a simple fee pay admission procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I wanted to B.Ed because I have a major interest in teaching and I did it in Social Studies. The faculty in the college is amazing and supportive guiding students in every situation. Although I did distance learning I still managed to make bonds with my faculties and they helped me out whenever I needed them. There is a total of 45 students in one class. All of them are connected through WhatsApp groups mainly. Exams are held semester wise and each semester was for six months. Students were informed about the examinations through calls from the Professors. Exams were of moderate level and easier to gain good score.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total course fee of the college was 16500. It was the only along with examination was minimal as compared to any other course fee. There were no scholarships given as it was a distant course with such low fees students did not even ask management because they had enough time to go for other part time jobs. Students in their final semesters are taken to other institutions to showcase their teaching skills and learn from new environments. This is the only thing that one takes as a reward from a college offering distance learning. Its a fun experience because along with learning we also get trained for the future and that hesitation fades away if one shows dedication towards it.

Campus Life

3

The college is built in non polluted environment in a land of about 2 acres, the only chance one gets to visit the college is at the time of exams. There is not much to tell about the campus it's a small unaided college. There are no sports held in the college. There are chances of the library to be made in future and the college authorities are seeking and working for the bright future of the college.

Placement Experience:

From the third semester, the students are eligible for campus placements. Sri Jothi Higher Secondary School, Vethathri Maharishi Higher Secondary School, Sengunthar Higher Secondary School, etc. are the companies that visited and got placements at these schools. Nearly 50% of students get placements. Some students are going for higher studies. My plan is to get pass in tet and get a Job in a government school teacher
