Entrance Preview

There are seats based on WBJEE as well as JEE (Main). I got admitted with my WBJEE rank. Frankly I opted for the course not the college due to an inclination towards chemistry based subjects. The college was within 5km of my residence so that helped.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Pretty good course curriculum but definitely could be better. Some subjects do seem unnecessary while a few seem to be actually missing. However considering the state of the university its doing pretty well compared to other colleges.

Internships Opportunities

"No internships are not provided by the college only unpaid training. But even that will not directly be provided by the college but the student has to got talk with the company and then only the college will help them out.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are mostly given in marketing sector. So if you have no issues in working as a marketing executive you'll be happy. Jobs in production are less and also packages are lower. recently there has been development in placements in Pharmacological sectors.

College Events

3.5

There are no fests organised by the pharmacy department but fests are organised almost every other month by other departments. The lack of a proper ground hurts the preparations but it is somehow managed. The main fest is arranged by the media department - YCOM.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is pretty nominal for a private college. Bachelors courses range from 35K per semester to 80K depending on the course. Management courses are obviously more expensive than others.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Personally I did not have to live in the hostel because of living nearby to the college but most of my friends and classmates living there have always complained about the bad facilities and below par food.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is balanced with the college sending 30 marks and the main university exam being conducted on 70 marks. Only one exam is conducted each day with a day or two gap in between. Practical exams take place in labs and there may be more than one exam each day.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college are a mixed bunch. Mostly they are pass outs of Jadavpur University but not all are great teachers. They are knowledgeable but fail to convey it to the students most of the time. There are great teachers too obviously.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because the curriculum combines clear theoretical foundations with strong practical exposure, and hands on session influenced by decision most. I felt curriculum was designed not just to teach concepts but to help students understand how those concepts are applied in the real situation
