Remarks

I got admission to RIT Kottayam through Keam entrance exam..eligibility to get admission at Rajiv Gandhi institute of technology (govt.engineering college, Kottayam )is below 12000 all Kerala keam rank. The application for keam entrance is available on the website, application fees 700rs, you can get admission to top colleges through allotments with reservations like Sc, St, Ews, Obc etc. RIT Kottayam is one of the best govt. engneering colleges in kerala.According to the KTU ranking, RIT KOTTAYAM is the top 5th best engneering college in all kerala. getting admssion on RIT KOTTAYAM is good choice.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose mechanical engineering because I like to work in the robotics and automation field in the future. RIT KOTTAYAM has good faculty members. Faculty members are well qualified and professionals like PhD and MTech holders. Every month there are a series of exams for students and lab, workshops., All the b tech courses are NBA accredited and RIT KOTTAYAM has good placement history.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are many companies for internships for students. Companies like bosch, Wipro, IBM Infosys, envestnet, are chosen by students for internships during their studies, students get many certificates that provide activity points for their studies and some companies offer stipends for students.

Placement Experience

4.5

There is a good placement cell in RIT Kottayam. From the 6th semester onwards students got placement training and career guidance classes and there are various clubs to improve your aptitude and chances to get the job through placement. The major recruiters of the campus are Oracle, Microsoft, Allianz, MRF, IDBI Bank, Infosys IBM, TCS, VVDN, WIPRO, Suntec EXPERION etc. There is about 75 % of students get placed every year. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships like merit cum mins, e -grants, Pragati scholarships etc are helpful to students, there are many fee waiver schemes for financially backward students and no fee for exams, uniforms for sc, st students and overall total course fee are about 9500 rs per year.

Campus Life

5

There are lots of clubs and social service groups run by students. Nature club, Women's club, Mechatronics club, Tinker Hub, Astronomical society, Film club, Dance club, Music club, Arts club, Sports club Physical Education club..etc. Career Guidance Club, ASAP-skill delivery platform Kerala. NSS service etc are active in the college.

Hostel Facilities

5

I took pg near college .5000 rs per month .food is overall good and accommodation is also good..we get breakfast ,lunch ,dinner and tea and snacks at 4pm ..The distance between college and PG is below 200m.we got all facilities in room .

Other Applied Colleges

College of engneering ,tvm | Mechanical engneering

Because of less keam rank

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
