great college at low cost

Student can apply for admission through online counselling conducted by the directorate of technical education (DTE) [M.P.]. The admission process is simple , you have to go there and submit the required documents. Student must have to score above 60% to get admission in CS or IT branch. The admission cell provides each information regarding counselling. and the HOD will help you throughout the whole admission process.

I opt for b.tech in Information technology because it is considered to be a skill-oriented course and depending upon the area of interest one can hone their skills. In CS/IT branch the faculty: student ratio is 1:70. The faculty is well qualified and experienced, some of them have completed their PhD. The course curriculum and syllabus structure are provided by the university (RGPV). In a semester we have 2 MSTs(mid semester test) and at the end of the semester, we have our end semester theory and practical examinations. which are quite easy if you study well enough for it.

Students are eligible for placement in their 6th semester. Various renowned companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, byju's , Capgemini, Cognizant and many more companies have visited the campus and hired students. The highest package was 12 LPA and the average package was 4 to 5 lakh per annum. The CDC [career development cell] provide training to students to be industry ready.

The fee structure of IIST is decent as compared to other colleges. The fee is dependant upon your 12th board grades, if you have above 75% then your fee will be 53000 for the IT branch and 51000 if you have scored above 90%. The college provides various scholarships and one can also apply for category based scholarships provided by the state government. if any student's financial condition is not well due to some reason as during the covid period many students lost their single earning parent, so he/she is given financial relief by the college.

Every year the annual fest called dazzle is held on the IIST campus. Apart from that college organize many technical events. Our DG sir also interact with students to guide and motivate them. The college has a big library consisting of semester related books. The college also has the facility of an E-library. The classrooms are quite good and comfortable. The college infrastructure is really very good, there are 2 auditoriums in the college. The campus has a lush green environment and is well cleaned and the canteen is also good. There are various clubs in the college like sports club, music, dancing, photography, lexicon club and many more. we also have many technical clubs (AI club, machine learning club ) and Google developer student club (GDSC) and many more. A website (rgpvnotes.in) is run by our alumni Aditya Jain. It has almost all the notes we need for the semester examinations.
