Remarks

I have applied to 2-3 universities and at past I was the student in GNDU. but unfortunately I didn't get any seats in other universities and my interest was to pursue masters that's why I remain there. Actually admission process is online there. first there is a entrance test and then candidates having highest merit will get seat there.

Course Curriculum Overview

Strength in MSc class is 40 and there is one another course for outsiders the students who have done bachelor's in any subject related to science will get seat there.Seats in this course is around 70.Faculty members are highly qualified having doctorate,post-doctorate from foreign universities and some from IITs. Exams are conducted twice a year. First exam of 20 marks and then second exam of 80 marks from whole syllabus.The student who is good in study will definitely pass otherwise the student which is not sincere will be failed.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 25000 per year

Placement Experience

Employment- students will get employment when they go to colleges and gave their interviews for like teaching in colleges and universities.Students also go for a PhD program and bed also. After bed we will get job like lecturer in schools and after PhD we will get job in colleges and universities and got best salary.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure-for IST SEM fees is around 30k and for second sem fees is around 12k.students from sc/st and BC categories will get reduction in their fees.The students who are gold medalist will get inspire scholarship and SC/at and BC students will get post- metric scholarship there.I was from science stream so I don't have much knowledge about placements but I heard that companies like TCS , Infosys,etc came here and take their test and take the candidates which are selected any interview process.

Campus Life

University life is full of enjoyment and fun. we will not get a page of degree from university but also get some memories with friends which will last long. Every year there is interdepartmental games and youth functions.Students from different departments represents in these games. We were winners in lawn tennis,handball, relay race, hockey, badminton etc.Students gave their bet to win the battle.

Hostel Facilities

University have 3 boys hostels and 1 new hostel is under construction.seperate Hostel warden is appointed every year for every hostel and they came to hostels for mess checking, canteens checking like that they are serving good food or not , quality of food etc. In Hostel ragging is strictly prohibited.

Admission

No I haven't gave any interview related to admission because my admission was on merit based. but now entrance exam is conducted by university but not any group discussion is there for admission.Now students first fill online admission form for the entrance test and then they have to give entrance test and merit list will be provided by the department and highest scoring candidates will be called according to reservation policy made by the university and after that seats will be allotted to candidates.

Education Quality was good along with Teachinng
Infrastructure is decent according to punjab location
Management is helpful and good, you can reach them for help

Dislikes

Attendence i perdonally didn't like, but it is mandatory
little bit parking issue inside the campus
overall college is good, you can go for it but not for placements

Placement Experience:

Rest everything is good with college, only i have issue with placement, since there are very poor or only core sales job in punjab, college is able to provide that only. You have to work your ass off if you want to get good placement, provided their education quality is good

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Dislikes

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

The best thing is that it is very affordable and enhance your knowledge at various aspects.
The second thing is there are extra hostel charges.
And conducts various conferences and workshops for enhancing students knowledge

Dislikes

The location of the college is not that much good.
You have to travel half an hour to reach market.
The hostel rules disallow you for high voltage electricals

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

An In-Depth Look at Campus Life and opportunities at Chandigarh University

I think, the campus is being liked by everyone whether its staff member or a student, because the university consists of many blocks or departments and that too are named as A1, A2, A3, A4 & B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 & C1, C2, C3 & D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6,D7,D8
Parks and all are made for the relaxation purpose of the student
Car Parkings are available separately for the students and staff and that also inside the campus which is ambitious.

Dislikes

The semester fees and other expenses is relatively higher as compared to other institutions
Some students find the university’s rule such as strict attendance policies and accurate timings for the classes, quite stringent
Mostly 2 common times, one is in morning nearby 8.50 AM to 9.50 AM and in evening nearby 3.50 PM to 5.00 PM, the rush is like horses and buffaloes! There is so much over crowded & most of the crowd occurs by the Autos, but no one do anything for that

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Infrastructure is too old and washroom also
Bus service is not available for the boys

Placement Experience:

The most famous companies like wipro and accenture recruit students from our college and get a package of 2-3 lakhs per year. I saw many students get recruited and get a better package and also live their happy work life

Basically, I heard about this university from my friends and then I filled online form for the entrance test. this entrance is based on the +2 syllabus .. around 2000 students fill this test and around 200-300 will take good ranks and take admissions.
