Entrance Preview
I got admission in this college by a entrance test which is conducted by himachal pradesh university. It isn't easy to get admission in this college as lots of candidates apply for professional and other courses to get in BBA, i had to clear an entrance test, and then after that i was short listed in merit list for group discussion and personal interview. Group discussion was pretty good and interview was fairly easy. I chose bba because it is well managed and running very effectively as compared to other courses and also the faculty is really good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is really good and moderately easy, if you listen carefuly in the class, you don't have to study a lot. The subject in my first semester are given below: major subjects business organisation and management,finacial accounting,business economic, business communication and personality developement minor subjects, functional english, indian constitution.
Internships Opportunities
From internship point of view this college isn't really good, if you want a internship in a good company then this college isn't for you. There is a training and placement officer in our college but still 4 to 5 companies visit our college annualy some of the companies are tcs, infosys, wipro, bajaj, cortech.
Placement Experience
This college isn't good for job oppurtunties unless you're talented.Average package rate ranges from ?15000-?30000(monthly) for under graduates ?20,000-?45,000 (monthly) for post graduates. Some of the companies who visited our college tcs, infosys, wipro, bajaj, cortech.
College Events
This college celebrates a major fest every year in which different colleges of the state complete with each other in different activities such as folk music, dancing, singing, chess, boxing and in all other activities you can imagine of this fest lasts for 5-6 days. And competitions such as college competion, poster making etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
Exam structure is extreamly feasible, i pay around ?7000 for one semester, anyone can afford this as it is a government institute. Anyone can afford it, the seats are basically divided into two, one is subsidized another is non subsidized.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know about loans but scholarships are available for financially weak students. It is very difficult to get a scholarship here as there are many pending forms for it.
Campus Life
The campus life at this college isn't really good, though debates and other events are conducted twice a year. Gender ratio is good, the number of females and males are almost equal.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni are rarely invited in college, and seniors are great and supportive. Seniors are always ready to help whenever you need it. The seniors are awesome and they've really good unity.
Exam Structure
Our exams are conducted under rusa system the final result releases very late, sometimes it takes even 1-1.5 years to get the result as the hpu exam pattern is not effective.
Faculty
The teaching faculty is really good, mosly there're female professors who're pretty good in teaching their subjects. Most of those teachers are there since 10 or more years, they're well experienced, and they're quite updated with the changing environment and frequently introduces us with new innovations in the business world.
