DECENT COLLEGE

The admission process in 2020 ways through the UPTU exam which is a 600 marks exam. I have scored 408 in the exams got the CSE branch in 1st round of counseling in JSS college. The eligibility of the course is quite decent. You need only 75% marks in your 12th Boards and the rest depends on your UPTU exam. But from 2021 admission is made through JEE MAINS score. Application form and dates you will get through the official sites of AKTU. There is a qota of reservation of SC/ST/OBC/FREEDOM FIGHTHER etc. you will get relaxation in your rankings through these reservations.

I opt for this course as I am interested in computers and technology and of course, when you are applying for a tier 3 college and can expect a decent package in computer branches only. There is a good amount of faculty in this college. Most teachers are Ph.D. holders and some of them are MSc graduates. All teachers teach to their full extent although exceptions are always there. But our college does not provide the teacher with advanced technology to teach better and express their style in a more visualistic way. You can expect internal exams every 40 days. But the level of the exam is moderate. If you study a week before then you will get average marks.

On-campus placement is made in the 7th semester. A good amount of companies come for placements. But mostly are mass recruiters. But a girl in 2020 got a package of 44lpa from adobe. companies like adobe, tcs, Accenture, tech Mahindra visited us. Average packages for the computer branches is around 4-5 LPA and other branches have to work hard to avail packages. In computer branches near about 80% students are placed with avg package. My plan is to get job experience and will do an MBA.

You can expect 10 lacs of studying and rental expenses in this college for 4 yrs. 1.25 lacs is the college fee every year which is around 5lacs. Your accommodation can range from 1 lac to 1.25 lacs per year. You can apply for UP govt. Scholarship and national scholarships which may give you around 50k INR assistance. It comes with certain t&c like the income of your father must be less than something 2.5 LPA. The college provides around 9-15 seats of fee waiver in every branch for the high ranking students which will waive your tuition fees of around 1.1 lac per year. You have to be careful while choosing your college and branch at the time of counseling and choice filling. On-campus placement is easy for computer branch students. With decent hard work, you can expect a package of around 4-5 LPA.

Our annual fest called ZEALICON is a treat to watch. you must take part in these events. There are plenty of books available regarding the course and syllabus but out of interest if you want any book it is hard to find. I am a little disappointed with the classrooms. They are the same 15yr old classrooms not yet developed. classrooms are not air-conditioned too. You will the sports and related activities very active. The sports room is very basic not much equipment but the ground is pretty decent. Every sport is good except cricket, for this, the ground is very small. There are many social clubs and societies for students. You must be a part of at least one. societies for sports, cultural, drama, tech, and the list goes on.

There are two kinds of hostel in our college. AC and NoN AC. AC hostels are called ISH which is a 3 sharing room with attached toilet and a small kitchen attached. They will provide you with 3 beds and a table and almirah for each. The electricity bill for ac is separate and the fee is 1.25 lacs per year. NON AC is called BH for boys and it is 2 and 3 sharing the toilet and bathroom are common for all and fees are 90k per year. The meal is satisfactory. The meal will be 4 times, in the evening you will get snacks like chow mien, samosa, Pakode and all which is quite good. Seats are very limited for hostel and rooms. Be the first one to get enrolled. If you want PG you will get a nice PG in your 400m radius and for girls, there are women hostels especially for girls near the college about 300m far. Do consider it.
