Remarks

All the details regarding admission like forms, fees, dates, etc. can be easily obtained from the college's official website and the contacts mentioned over there. A student having PCM background with 75% or above PCM aggregate will be eligible for admission in any branch of their choice. The admission process is fairly smooth and there is no need for any improvement as such.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because of my interest in programming from the school level where I learned the basics of Java programming. The faculty and student ratio is a little bit low as the number of students taking admissions in successive years is increasing at a good rate but colleges still have a maximum of 1 to 2 teachers per subject. But still, the faculty remains available for the students most of the time and are well qualified with a good way of teaching and subjective experience. The internal exams are conducted twice (thrice at max) in a particular semester and university exams once in a semester. Both exams are of average level, i.e. are easy to pass with moderate efforts and good subject understanding and the subjects in the curriculum are well-chosen and structured over 4 years of graduation.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college has a great tie-up with more than 750 companies which leads to a lot of distinct opportunities in the form of jobs and internships over 4 years and the final year too. This means no student with decent skills and potential would not be lacking the number of opportunities for the placement or internship purpose. Various good companies like Cloud Analogy, rtCamp, Delloite, L&T, Flipkart, e.t.c come offer decent on-campus packages to students. The Training and Placement Cell of the college supports and coordinates well with all the students equally. All the things that a student need is a good set of technical skill and some projects based on the conceptual understanding and knowledge that a student must have if he/she holds a technical degree.

Placement Experience

4

The placement season for every batch is conducted so well with the motive to place a maximum possible number of students in the various companies that bring great offers to the campus. All the placement with high packages are conducted during the 7th semester the remaining students get another opportunity to get selected in the companies like TCS, Wipro etc. that do mass requirements in the 8th semester leading to a very high placement percentage which is around 85%. The highest and average packages that companies offer on campus are 50 LPA and 8 LPA respectively with various profiles like developer, tester, analyst etc.. My plan after getting the degree is to grab the highest possible package as per my potential and skill during the on-campus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee and examination fee for each year of the course are around 98000, 8000 respectively. In addition, enrollment fees are also there which lie somewhere around 5 to 6 thousand. Also if you avail the bus/transportation service then it'll range from 7 to 15 thousand depending upon the distance and route. The college doesn't have a hostel facility so there are no hostel or mess charges but there are a lot of good PGs around the campus which students can opt for. The college considers the JEE and UPSEE scores for scholarship in tuition fees. There are a lot of good companies and start-ups including both service and product-based companies that come on campus offering many jobs and internship opportunities that are available for students right from the 2nd year of the course.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is fine but not up to the mark. The college is more study-oriented i.e. focuses more on studies and things related to it. Thus, the number of curriculum course-related events is greater than that related to extracurricular activities. But from the year 2020 onwards the college is maintaining its focus on both aspects hence organizing more and more extracurricular events, webinars etc.. The availability of books and other study materials in the library is fine enough. Along with it, the campus organizes various clubs, freshers, sports events, farewell, tech clubs, and placement drives(in collaboration with its another branch in Gurugram) etc. throughout the whole year.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
