Remarks

Admission is based on the caste system. Firstly, the lower caste students got admission and increment in the caste wise. Eligibility was 12th pass with an average of 50%. The application form is available online on the college automation website Tezpur college. The fee for the application is 250.

The faculty members are well highly educated. The number of students here is 250(approx). I chose this course B.Com as I am interested in business and banking sectors and want to have carrier opportunities based on these.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 6570 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't get any kind of scholarship. The fee structure is a little more costly than other colleges under govt. Though this college is a govt college the commerce dept is owned by the private sector. This year the admission fees hike vigorously as compared to the last year.

Campus Life

Life is good all the campus as there are various types of organizations and groups and student unions where students can take part and join them. There is a big library building where all kinds of books are available relating to various courses and many other magazines and journals are also available.

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Likes

The networking and the contacts that GU provides.
Exposure to various aspects. Chance of self discovery
Great environment. Loved the campus. A great place to study also the Library and canteens. Connectivity

Dislikes

Too much pressure on students in certain cases.
Very slow processing of documents by the authorities
Very delayed results of all the semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

The environment is good peace' and calm .
The campus is good clean and good faculties
Reputed name , the courses are good overall feels good to be a part of this college

Dislikes

People's are arogants, egoistic , do nepotism.
Attendance matters then knowledge, if a student have less attendance in one subject also they don't provide them to give exam.
Lengthy course and less classes the professor completed the syllabus in just 2 months, they say the semester have 6 months but we are giving the finals in 3rd month!

I will rate it 7 cause lengthy course less classes, Exam timing are vast others colleges held there exam on the last month of the year but our college held there exam on the 3rd month of the semester overall not good

Admission:

Present the documents along with photocopies after scoring the qualifying marks and post that the college authorities will give you an acknowledgment slip which confirms your admission in the college and can also be used as the College ID until you receive the actual college ID.
