Remarks

Good. I am in touch with my seniors and staffs through social network. There chapters and groups based on the year. I believe it is good. I am still connected with seniors and faculties.

Entrance Preview

Got admission based on Higher Secondary Schooling Score. I opted CSE since it was my passion. So I explored colleges which provide greater opportunity of learning in the field of CSE. Global institute came up and when i enquire with my friends got to know good reviews. So I took this college.

Placement Experience

The placement session of the institution invites companies department wise as well general. Tier 1 and Tier 2 companies visit regularly and all students will be provided opportunity to attend. Placement is not a big constraint in Global University,Amritsar

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel is the best in Global institute. The rooms is based on sharing. I was at a 3 bedded room. A large room, with individual beds, 24 hour water supply, drinking water round the clock, landline and so on. The food in the hostel is superb and will be homely. Food is unlimited and variety of foods. Hostel and Mess is best in global institute.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Faculty - Strict. Faculty will focus more on academics. Though they are strict they show parental care towards us in terms of our performance in academic is concerned. They also motivate towards pursuing extra courses that will add to strength to students in terms of technology.

An honest look at campus

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

SLIET longowal has well structured curriculum as per new education policy with well structured labs. to prepare for real world, college provide funds for startup and also motivate students to gain industry exposure. Many improvements can be done in curriculum like integration of cutting edge technologies, smart board, digital labs. There are three exams per semester two minors which take place in month of august and september and major or end sem exam in month of october, the timing of exam was from 1 pm to 4 pm. the difficulty level of exam is moderate

Placements in lovely professional university is decent and dont know much about it as i am in 1st year only but there were mandatory Placement classes for all which you need to select in 1st year only for which you need to pay extra 20k for the classes.

Good staff are very nice and supportive nature. There are not any faculty problem. Functions are organized in a very large scale which is very good. Ragging are strictly banned in college which is very good for fresher students. BAD: lack of equipment and machines in labs. Lack of practical knowledge for students.
