Remarks

Admission is done through an entrance exam conducted by University itself called GLAET. If you want to give the entrance exam for the b.tech course you should have a 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. And you have to score 60% in GLAET to get admitted to the University. You can find application form on GLA website which charges around 300-400 approx. At my time it was 300rs. There are no reservations at any stage of admission as it is private University.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose B.Tech (CSE) because I had a slight interest in programming languages and computers. And I can say without any risk that this course is at the top in terms of no. of students pursuing it. GLA University gives quite good placements in CS brach compared to other private colleges in UP or nearby states. There are more than 12000 students in the university and more than 2000 faculty. So roughly the ratio of faculty students is 1:6. Almost every teacher is helpful and literally has good knowledge and you'll find a few outstanding faculty but sometimes if a teacher is not delivering their knowledge well and if you complain about that teacher, they will listen to you. In a year you have to give exams 4 times in a gap of around 1.5-2 months. If you studied well and attend classes properly you can easily score good marks but if you are the one who studies the night before the exam then it won't be easy for you to pass the exam.

Placement Experience

4.5

Talking about placements, from the 5th semester you are eligible to sit in interviews. More than 200 companies come and recruit students. Companies like Microsoft, Accenture, Capgemini, etc. Last year amazon offered a 44 LPA package and the average is around 4.5 LPA overall for the cs branch. Almost 91% of students get on-campus placements. I hope I will get a placement and if not I'll study further.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st-year fees of the course b.tech were 1.61 lakhs when I took admission and it increases by 3k every year. Without examination fees that is 6000 per year. Right now 1st-year fee is 1.66 lakh so you can see the hike in 1 year. Yes, there is a govt scholarship program UP scholarship named saksham by samaj Kalyan vibhag. And there are a lot of other scholarship programs for different people. Overall universities support every scholarship program that comes under it.

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of fests conducted by different types of clubs. E-cell club organizes tech fests like inviting some intellectuals and they conversate with students. Cultural fests like DJ night and dandiya night happen. The library has a lot of books you can get any book you want. And I should mention GLA's library is something to talk about. Every sport is available and sports tournaments are conducted annually. Clubs are run by students and mentored by one particular faculty.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
