Course Curriculum Overview

I choose a veterinary professional course. And I think it's my profession. Faculty students ratio is 1:20. Qualification of faculty is: Each and every faculty is a master's degree passed and is very talented and experienced. Annually 3 exams are given by every student for passing the semester.

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 91745 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual fees are 91,745 (semester fees+ hostel both). There are different types of scholarships like Poor family background and national talent scholarship etc. I am from Rajasthan and I get admission through VCI counselling and I get a national talent scholarship.

Campus Life

Kaizen vet society and blue cross society are run by students. There are many functions organized by kaizan vet society like communication skills and quiz competitions etc. and the blue cross society organized cultural activities and is quite competitive.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities such as one room alloted for two students maximum. Every student have one table ,one chair, one bad, one almirah , clothes hanger , light and fan etc. Meal/food quality is very good and made according to menue for 7 days. Meal give 3time in a day. Registration is done during admission time.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

There is reservation for SC and ST category in our college and a few for the OBC category.and University provided scholarship for talented students and admission process accordingly to VCI rules. There are eight college of different branches like veterinary, agriculture, Home science, polytechnic etc in our university.

Likes

Here academic is very excellent and profesor are very helpful to us every thing is ok
Placement services are very nice Maximum number of students alloted to goodd companies
Here professional development is very excellent academic is very excellent

Dislikes

There is no proper facilities of the clinics and most of them are always indulged in the unnecessary works
Infrastructure is little bit call be improved to make it excellent
Hostals are in very bad condition and mess is also need to be improvised

Placement Experience:

About final year of course students get placements There are many companies which regularly visit the college and give students placement Like Venky's company and virbac and other companies placement are available here My plan is to make my private clinic where I can help the people and animals

The course curriculum is standard and reliable as prescribed by veterinary council of India this course is very intersting with practical approach There are 3 internals which are from the content taught and best of 2 is selected for finals 1 external theory exam and 1 practical final exam

POSITIVE ACADEMIC ATMOSPHERE: researches an breakthroughs in the field of veterinary are done regularly here. Questions and doubts are always resolved. Academics is prioritiesed
GOOD LIBRARY IN COLLEGE. college has a dedicated college library having all the books of courses curriculum which can be issued. Every edition is availabke along with all the magazines of the subject

Dislikes

Overcrowding!! The college doesn’t have infrastructure to support almost 100 students which are being admitted each year and the students somehow face difficulties in studying insuch crowded atmosphere
BAD HOSTEL MESS : the good served in the hostel mess is of very substandard quality and is not very nutritious. Mess are not clean and are in bad shape. Even spoons and utensils are not available
Bad hostel rooms. Hostel rooms are in very bad shape. The hostel needs renovation very badly. And the staff is not very helpful. Toilets are not clean and poor sanitation practices lead to diseases on regular basis. One small room is shared by 3

Placement Experience:

There are plenty ot government and private jobs in veterinary sector if a person is having good knowledge of the subject he can have upto 8 to 10 LPA of income package after completing of ug and after few years of experience the income may raise to 15 to 17 LPA . There is no dedicated placement cell in the college for veterinarians but different state govt , army , paramilitary forces, different central and state govt conduct inductions for permanent employment of veterinarians . Employment is almost guaranteed after completion of this degree .

Life at a Veterinary College

Likes

This place has a very calm environment
The Hostel is very clean and hygienic with separate garbage disposal
The facility of a big library for books from different authors

Dislikes

Dogs are roaming around ., in the hostel
Excess people in a single room sometimes
The maintenance of some rooms is not upto the mark

The teaching methods are good , professors evn ask the students if they prefer the smart board or the regular chalk mode to be taught. The curriculum is as per the guidelines given by the veterinary council of India .

My perspective

Likes

The professors and other staff is really cooperative and understanding... They are always available to help you out in any sense... The facilities provided and the infrastructure is of great influence to us...
The college train us in all aspect including work programme and NCC/NSS for overall development of students

Dislikes

The timing can be made flexible in noon from 2:30 onwards as it will really help students to take some rest after lunch and not to hurry for class
More practical classes could be conducted for better understanding of the subjects

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness the curriculum is great I would say... The institute follows strict guidelines of VCI... The curriculum helps us in both veterinary and animal science field, also helps us to develop a sense of discipline and responsibility towards society

My college placements and internship programs which are provided.
Stadium of college premises is too good and clean.
College labs and classrooms are so good and peaceful.

Dislikes

Building is too old and is not so clean.
Too hectic and classes and extraclasses are so many.
Clinical exposure is not so good and timing for clinical practices is less .

Last semester is the time ,when the placements are held in college. There are so many companies that visit college for placements and internships. Averagely 80%students got placements in college during their degree programs.

Opt to become a veterinarian.

Placement Experience:

From the final year i.e. after 4.5 years students are eligible for an internship. The 6-month internship is to be done within the campus and the rest of the 6 months in another organization. Many dairy, poultry, food processing, and wool processing companies visit the college for hiring students. Also, many research fields are available after the course with great scope. Around 5 to 7 lakh per annum packages are easily available after the course which is generally offered by firms visiting the college. Best students based on their academic performances are preferred. Near about 60 to 70 % are generally getting placement. Others generally opt for further studies. AMUL, Ananda dairies, poultry firms, many renowned slaughterhouses, and research organizations are some places where veterinarians get appointed other than clinical practices.
