Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology (SVPUAT) is a state agricultural university established on 2 October 2000 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under the UP Universities Act, 1958. The university is located at Modipuram on the Delhi-Dehradun highway, approximately 12 km from Meerut city. It is recognised by the UGC and affiliated to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
