Course Curriculum Overview

The International Business course is slightly hectic as compared to the other courses offered by the college. The first term has 10 courses followed by 11 in the second term. These are done within the 5 months of the college. Faculty members are to die for. Super helpful, knowledgeable, and experts in their respective fields.

Fees and Financial Aid

Financial support can easily be received from any of the national banks. Scholarships are available for students coming from EWS. Fees are requested in three parts and all of it is taken before December of your first year.

Campus Life

Lots of clubs and committees to choose from. The campus is always active whether during the day or night. The main MDI website should be visited to check out all clubs and committees and determine interest. The separate selection process for each of them.

Hostel Facilities

Stayed within the campus. Taksha Shila hostel. Twin sharing room with AC and attached washroom. Small balcony. Fine in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. Electrical wiring is not the best, might have to be a bit careful. Regular support in terms of electricians and plumbers from the administration.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Final online personal interview with two faculties from the college. About general work experience and the most impactful projects I worked on followed by GK (ministers, capitals, why is this place famous, etc.) and current affairs questions.

Interview Experience

Only an online personal interview. No other process requirements. Just some document verification before the process. Interviews could be used to induce stress and check your readiness for the rigor of an MBA college.

One of the best universities for MBA

Placement Experience:

Placements is good. Higher placements come for Engineering students but MBA and BBA students also get avg placement of 8-9 LPA. Many of my seniors from last year got good placements at top companies like Hyundai, Maruti,Amkette, Flipkart, Adaan.

Placement Experience:

In the first year, there are placement opportunities for internship and in the second year, there are proper campus placements that take place, led by a student elected placement committee. Some of the top companies that extended offers for the students were Microsoft, Google, AccStrat, ITC, Mondelez, JPMC etc. The highest package offered was 5L and the average was 2.2L with 100% placements for the summer internships. I plan to work in the finance or consult sector after getting my degree.

Remarks:

The campus life at our college is very enjoyable. The system of library help the students to gain knowledge through different books. Ciunselling system is also provided at the college so that the student can get a healthy environment. Indoor Game facilities and a common room is also provided. These all are the positive things about our college.

Remarks:

College is cleaned. Rooms are very airy it would be good if there was an AC. But it is o.k. Campus is cleaned and green. Canteen is so good. They use to make fresh food every day which is the best thing of them so there is no need to worry about stomach ache due to old food. Overall good college.

Rules are strict. Students have to be punctual at college timings. In starting, schedule seems tough but after days goes, all turns into quality. Whatever the schedule is: it is good and long term beneficial for the growth of the students.

Remarks:

Considering the experience of the participants, the course has been designed for learning and upgradation of knowledge and skills nationally as well as internationally. The international attachment of the participants of this group was organised at ‘Universiti Utara Malaysia, Kedah, Malaysia’.

Remarks:

The uniqueness of the programme lies in its extensive use of market professionals as resource persons for the programme. Use of GenAI in Customer support function

I chose MDI Gurgaon over XLRI Delhi, IIM Shillong, new and baby IIMS, NITIE - PGDSM. The reason for choosing MDI was its proximity to my hometown, Tier 1 status. I was rejected from IIM ABCLKI and FMS - Delhi mostly on the basis of my undergrad scores and a CAT percentile which was not high enough. Internship in ABG !!

You need to appear in the CAT exam. Any percentile over 90%ile with a sectional of 70 70 70 cleared will fetch you a call from MDI Gurgaon. However, to convert core, 96+ is a safe score for non-engg and 98.5+ for GEM. After you get a shortlist, you'll have to appear and fill out a form which MDI-G will send and you can edit your details there. Further, you'll get a PI date.
