Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

I had chosen Btech AI considering it will be a highly anticipated requirement in tech industries in the upcoming future. If I were given an option again, I would probably choose CSE core considering, they have slightly more opportunities during placement. They have enough faculty to facilitate 12 sections in the first year with around 3-4 teachers for each subject- Maths, Physics, Chemistry, SoftSkills. PPS, EVS, Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical and each section consist of about 60-70 students. The faculty seems professional but if Im completely honests if often feels like some faculty don't know how to teach properly if even they have enough knowledge of the subject. Notes are dictated so no one takes the initiative of making their own notes which I think is the biggest drawback, we had to take our own notes during the 10th/12th. They have Live Assignments every other week, Class Tests and Sessionals Exams twice a semester which total for internal marking.

Placement Experience

2

Companies start coming for placements during the sixth semester and third-year students can apply for them. They don't have any major companies for being a tier 3 college. Companies range from Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Infosys, Chegg, Algoworks etc. The highest package on average is about 6-8 lakhs. I would probably sit for on-campus placements to at least get self-sufficient but keep preparing for better companies and sharpening my skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

Around one lakh is the fee for BTech courses which is probably the bare minimum in any engineering college of tier 3. They say they have great facilities like the Nvidia scholarship for exceptional students and great packages but the truth is told, it's not worth the hassle. You're forced into academics and won't have enough time to gain skills which would actually be useful in your future endures. They don't have tech fests or majorly any fest on special occasions. Just a cultural fest once a year.

Campus Life

2

They have an annual fest, usually in the month of september-october of a single day. That's all you will probably enjoy from the college facilities considering there aren't any other major fest being organised in the college. I guess there are quite a good amount of books in the library but its size and rules-regulations are pretty based. Library hours are from 9 am to 5 pm which is college hours, which means you cant study in the library peacefully after that. As a first-year student, you won't be allowed in the library during college hours, and also you'll probably not get your library card just before your ClassTests leaving you no time to actually study. They have air-conditioned small-sized classes which can accumulate 50-60 students but it gets clustered on days all students are present. They have a cricket field on the college campus but you're not allowed to play on it on most weekdays since its leased to other colleges to practice. They have a football ground in their school near the college.

Hostel Facilities

1

Until one is forced with no other option, don't take a hostel. They have an option for single bedrooms only for girls and double bedrooms for boys. The room consists of two beds and a mattress which is thinner than a classmate's 200-page copy, two tables, chairs and cupboards. The washrooms are dirty enough to make you sick. During the first few months, freshers are forced to follow certain rules by the seniors which the warden also doesn't object to, which ranges from no roaming on the campus after 9 pm, no shorts while eating in mess etc. Food is also below par and you'll lose your appetite and will to eat. They also have AC rooms or the option to bring your own coolers after paying them 7000rs extra. They have a single water dispenser on the ground floor with two outlets. For hostel registration, you'll need a copy of your fee receipt and the sign of your guardian/parents on the application form. PLEASE rent a room or pg, you can find those in Crossing Republic or Chipyana Buzurg within walking distance.

Admission

You can either apply through counselling if you have attempted jee mains or any other engineering entrance exams or by direct admission based on your cgpa/percentage in 10th/12th boards marks. You will be offered courses based on your percentage. Application details are available on their sites, to know more you can call the college and ask your queries. You will have to submit college fees in two halves if you're selected for your desired course.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
